The anticipation of waiting for new cds from respected artists has the plaguing history of dissapointing the loyal fans due to an intense build up. This album on the other hand, did the exact opposite. I was prepairing myself for a let down because of how good their previous album JANE DOE, really was, and what I got was a breathe of fresh air. Converge, is a band that broadens their musical abilities with every release and "You Fail Me" is no exception to this. Buy this album twice!

Not their best, but very good. I recomend When Forever Comes Crashing, thats my favorite release. Unloved and Weeded Out is good, too, as an introduction, if you're just getting into the band.

This cd is a good one but I think Jane Doe is a tad better. I heard this cd 3 times so far and I still can't remember it lol. Converge is one of those bands that you have to listen to constantly or else you'll never remember their songs. I recommend this to any HC fan or anyone who just likes anything really kick ass.

WOW, really good cd. It has a really good recording, I must say You Fail Me, is the best song on the record along with Last Light. This record blew my mind, even though I had it a month before it came out I still went out and bought it. That is how good this cd is. I liked Jane Doe more, but this one is more along the lines of true hardcore, the older stuff is more grindy I think. Also just to clear some stuff up, there is no additional/extra whatever you want to call it, videos or anything on it. Because thats what I thought, but this a good buy.

Dare I say the best album of 2004???
In all earnestness though, Converge will always be marked as one of the biggest contributors to the scene. As my good friend James mentions below, this is just another milestone of their amazing and prominent career.
If you're just getting into Converge, I'd start out with Jane Doe. If you're already a fan and don't own this...get to it!

This album really took me by surprise, i'd give it 3.5 if i could. Although it is quite different than previous Converge, I like it. the only song on this album that really holds my attention is You Fail Me. That is a damn good song. If it is Converge you are seeking, I highly recommend Petitioning The Empty Sky. That album is hottt.

Very good album. This band just keeps ' em comin'.I loved Jane Doe and I guess I was expecting a little bit more of that. But, it really wouldn't be interesting if they did the same album over and over again. But, the grinding guitars, pulsating drum and screaching vocals are a plus and the lyrics are as brilliant as ever.Great album for long time fans like myself. But, if you're just getting into Converge, I would suggest Jane Doe.But, this cd is just short of musical genuis.

I don't know why anyone has reviewed this yet. I guess I'm first.
Converge is one of the most talented and prolific bands to ever impact the hardcore world, and this album is just another milestone in their musical journey. Prepare to be amazed, the wait was well worth it.
