Once the high-energy, jubilant horns kick in, you know that STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO has arrived and they brought a party with them! Keeping in the tradition of classic bands like THE SPECIALS, SUBLIME and early NO DOUBT, STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO continue to share their signature ska sound with the world with their incredible new record, Somewhere In The Between.
In the day and age where most bands do what they can to fit in to the trends,
STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO sticks to their roots with a firm stance and a legion
of fans behind them. The band has traveled across the globe and played to thousands of people every night without slowing down. The reaction their fans give back would make any “scene” band green with envy. Not only is STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO one of the most energetic and enjoyable bands on the planet, they are also one of the most talented. Singer/guitarist Tomas Kalnoky leads this 7-piece into some of the catchiest and cleverest songs you will ever lay your ears on.
In fact, Somewhere In The Between is so infectious, fans of all kinds of music can appreciate their sound and style. It is top of the line, swinging rock-n-roll that will put a smile on the face of even the biggest skeptic. Somewhere In The Between is a true testament to the band’s talent and their fans’ dedication. Ska is alive and well and the band that is doing it the best is STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO.

If you liked their previous album, you'll love this album. Same kind of complex songs, etc. It's a really listen.

Like Many Keasby Nights is an all time favorite. Haven't liked or listened to much from Catch 22 or Streetlight since Alone in a Crowd..
This cd however, is great... the flow, the pace, good solid songs without getting sidetracked in too much melody and back to energetic music i liked from these guys.
Great album. if Keasby is a 5 than this is a 4.

It took a while for SM to get this one out but it was worth it. They had many problems along the way while writing and recording the Cd but it came out a master piece every track is a sing along, with complex parts all over the board.

wow, a great album and totally as good as 'everything goes numb' and better than the 'keasbey nights' remake (the C-22 version's better anyways). standout tracks:we will fall together, down, down to mephisto's cafe, one foot on the gas, one foot in the grave, the blonde leading the blind, and the receiving end of it all. buy this, and catch them live! now here's hoping for some new bandits of the acoustic revolution material soon.

This is one freakishly fantastic album from one of the most talented and musically-conscious performing groups of today. I enjoy the diversity in the structure of each song the most; on the first listen, it is hard to predict what part of the song comes next (i.e. verse/chorus/interlude.) The album stands incredibly well on its own as a result of the ear-pleasing horn section and general composition complexity/musicianship displayed throughout. Only when compared to "Everything Goes Numb" does the album falter. After having around four years to produce another CD, fans come to expect something better than "EGN." The songs on "SITB" are diversely structured but have a strange habit of featuring some similar melodies/horn arrangements as those found in other songs/albums. Even at brief points on "SITB," I found myself thinking, "Didn't I hear this already?" The consistent driving force of "EGN" is not found on "SITB" as some of the songs are slower paced and display greater influences (which is not a negative thing but it disrupts the pace we're all accustomed to.) And surely one negative: it's only ten songs.

GREAT! Album. Not as good as their first or C22s Keasbey Nights but still fuckin great. The horn parts and all of the instruments are all just as good as those albums but the lyrics are a little weaker. Some of the songs have some parts in them that sound really dumb (Mercy, mercy, mercy me"?) but most of the lyrics are good. There's also a couple I skip sometimes, but most of the album is great. yeah. 4.5/5 - worth the wait and well worth getting as your first SM album and essential if you have their first and want more.

A great album indeed, and a must have for any ska fan. Streetlight maintains their signature sound which was forged back in the days of catch 22. My only complaint is that most of the songs use the same tempo, so the album begins to get repetitive after a while. But nevertheless this is a solid album with all strong songs. I dont know if it is quite as good as their first album or catch 22's keasbey nights. It's fun snappy ska and punk at its finest, hey its streetlight... did you expect anything less?

Well, this is totally awesome. If you're into punk & ska, you won't be disapointed with this release. Probably one of the best records of the year. I can't wait to see them live when they'll be back in my town!

Streetlight Manifesto has released another amazing album. Somewhere in the Between has a lot of horns just like the previous album if not even more horns. It has awesome clever ska riffs with a couple metal riffs like in "Watch It Crash". Now the only thing i didn't like about this album is the singing. Streetlight Manifesto's singer has got a lot better. he doesn't have that raspy voice, he hits all the notes perfectly...blahhh... i prefer him better when he sorta sucked at singing but i guess it's different for everyone. This album has been recorded very well with no crust sound to it at all. Other than that its an amazing album, it's a good Streetlight album to start with.

wow. GREAT cd. I am not a huge ska fan, usually into the exact opposite like strike anywhere but this is one of the greatest cds out there. all the songs are great, just like everything goes numb and the original keasbey nights. great band and seriously the best ska cd i have ever heard.
