A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime

A-F 51

Released on October 2, 2007

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Fresh on the heels of the "War Sucks, Let's Party" tour, ANTI-FLAG assembled this EP to benefit a very important cause. Bassist Chris #2's family experienced the horror of losing of family member when his sister fell victim to violent crime, leaving behind a young daughter and son. We all have our own gut reactions when faced with tragedy. Anti-Flag’s was to put together this limited edition benefit E.P. in hopes it would help others who have gone through similar situations. The proceeds will be going to the The Center for Victims of Violence and Crime ( as well as educational bonds. "A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime" features five new Anti-Flag studio tracks along with five live songs recorded at Pittsburgh's Mr. Smalls this past April. The CD pressing of "A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime" will be a limited pressing.

first, it's for a great yet sad cause. second, it's anti-flag! chris #2 sings a few songs, which is awesome because whatever it takes was an awesome band because of his vox. 'no future', 'corporate rock still sucks', 'marc defiant' (about the singer of the code, another killer band you need to check out!) all are amazing songs. the live tracks aren't bad either. buy it!

Good fill-in until the Bright Lights album comes out. Pretty much a shorter version of "For Blood". Worth getting.

As far as Anti- Flag standards go, I thought this was a ho-hum release. Its good but not great. Anti- Flag fans will eat this album up. But if you are just getting into anti-flag- buy some other album of theirs. No Paradise is a good song. Actually, I think the studio part of this album is outdone by the live part. The live part is what carrys this album. Of couse the money of this album is for a good cause. Its a solid release but not a must own. If you do buy it, do it for the live part.

Another great CD by Anti-Flag! Every fan of this band should get this one because it's good, some $ goes to a good organisation and you got some rare & live songs for a decent price! Buy it!

I own all of the other albums so this was a must own. That being said this is a great album and is excellent even if its your first Anti-Flag album.

this is actually kristie's boyfriend harrison(the CD was purchased for me).

the new stuff, by and large, is very good. no paradise, no future, and anthem are the standout songs, IMO. overall, it's a much better EP than "mobilize," and definitely worth the $8 or whatever it is.

This should hold fans over until their next full studio album comes out. With all the BS people are talking on Anti-Flag for going to a major label, you know they practice what they preach with this album (read the back story behind this release if you don't know what I mean). It's half studio, half live, much like Mobilize. Some songs that standout are "Corporate Rock Still Sucks," "Marc Defiant," "Anthem for the New Millenium Generation,"No Paradise," and "No Future." The live songs kick ass also.

This is a really great CD. The new songs are really sweet and the live songs sound great. I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes music that gets you pumped……. Or anyone who likes anti-flag. I know for some reason it’s like a new cool thing to not like them but that’s really fucking dumb.

this may possibly be the best Anti-Flag recording to date. I'm glad that this was released, not only because it is anti-flag but simply for the fact that in a little way I am donating to a good cause.
