Reel Big Fish/Zolof The Rock And Roll Destroyer

Duet All Night Long Split

Reignition 032

Released on February 20, 2007

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Reel Big Fish and Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer became friends when the two bands toured together during the summer of 2005. The idea of doing a split CD together came up and unlike most split CD propositions, this one happened. The band decided to do something a little different with this recording deciding to make every track a duet. Aaron Barrett of Reel Big Fish and Rachel Minton of Zolof both contribute vocals to every song. Zolof perform half of the songs while Reel Big Fish perform the other half which makes for a very interesting feel for this split.

Well, being a very loyal fan of RBF since the begining,I had to get this cd.The only reason I waited so long was due to the price(a little high for 6 songs).I think the CD is great! Zolof and RBF sound great together, not to mention I LOVE COVERS!!!! A nice addition for any Zolof/Reel Big Fish fan.Im giving it a 4 only because of the lack of songs.

I finally got this cd and I wish I could of gotten it earlier! It's a great cd and I enjoyed every single cover though I'm still getting use to the new version of "It's Not Easy" with Rachel taking over most of Scott's part. I hope this split isn't over looked because there are some great tracks.

Reel Big Fish is my favorite band and Zolof aren't too shabby. This thing has been on repeat ever since i got it. Best tracks are Lyin' Ass Bitch (classic Fishbone) and Don't You Want Me. Aaron and Rachel's voices mesh so well on all these tracks, and let us not forget Scott's awesome vocals on Say Say Say. Overall, my favorite purchase of any I've made in a long time. Definitely pick it up.

RBF and Zolof!!!! hell yes! the best part of this split? all songs are duets, and Aaron (RBF) and Rachel (Zolof) sound amazing together. best songs, RBF's cover of the best Fishbone song ever, 'lyin' ass bitch'..thank you for getting people to remember a great ska band. go check out fishbone, if you love Reel Big Fish's version. also, 2nd best song, Zolof's cover of 'don't you want me' amazing! both bands do an amazing job. so happy i picked this up. totally worth the money!

This is a really awesome concept, and both bands work really well with each other. I gave it 3 stars because that's the number of songs on this album that kick ass. Those songs are: Ask, Dress You Up, and Say Say Say. The other 3 tracks are not horrible but they just aren't as good as the ones I mentioned. Ask is an amazing cover, probably the best on this album followed closely behind by Dress You Up. I'm a pretty big fan of both these bands, and I would only recommend buying this if you like both bands, otherwise you probably won't enjoy it as much.
