BAYSIDE epitomize the virtues of timeless, passionate rock of the highest order. Immune to the superficiality of music trends, this Long Island band has always emphasized emotions in their songs and stories. They are a class act of committed musicians who have faced—and overcome--some of life’s most challenging obstacles. The Walking Wounded, BAYSIDE’s newest collection of songs and stories, is ready to join the band’s celebrated catalog and find a place in the hearts and minds of their rapidly-growing, worldwide fan base. The band tailored their sound and style after some of Punk Rock’s most distinguished artists, such as THE SMITHS and SMOKING POPES. They have become a substantial force that is both enviable and highly respected. While their first two records dealt with confronting the personal trials and betrayals life offers, this record challenges the listener to move forward with an ambitious and positive outlook on the life ahead of them. It makes very clear that the scars we all carry are merely reminders that life is a challenge, but the future still holds the potential to be very bright and positive. The Walking Wounded is proof that they are ready to conquer any endeavor that may stand before them with a well-earned optimism.

Well I waited and waited and waited to review this jsut becasue I was waiting for it to become one of favorites as was their last release S/T. Now dont get me wrong the album is really good and their are 4-5 amazing standout tracks but doesnt have the staying power the last couple of releases had. Pick up S/T first.

One Word... Amazing. Buy this Album now you wont be dissapointed what so ever. Was into Bayside a little before getting this Album but now deffinitly a big fan. Dont listen to haters saying its not like Old Bayside, people like that need to realize bands progress with every new album.

I am a very big fan of Bayside so obvisouly my review will be a tad bit biased, however I do think that is a very good record. As far as Bayside goes, you can tell it is maybe just a hair polished over, and seems to lean more on catchy pop-hooks than deep insight lyricism, not to say that this album is lacking in that department. The songs are catchier than ever, and you'll find yourself singing along more and more than any other bayside album.

All in all, its worth the money.

Awesome follow up to their last record. I think that this is a great example of the Bayside sound. They have really tuned into their sound and honed it in. A great record all the way through.

this cd really had to grow on me unlike the others, if ur new i'd say pick up their selftitled then this one and so on. you can really hear the pop in this one, but it adds a great sing a long, over all this cd has a lot of good songs.

Damn Bayside, how things have changed! This CD opened up looking very promising. Very, very promising. But after the first few songs, I just started to get a little bored. However, I still made it through the album. This is a definite progression from S&C and Self Titled. The first two songs are brilliant. But after that, it sounds a bit like an echo, just keeps repeating similar sounds over and over. But don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like this. I just think it's average. Hence the 3.

I loved this album. They did a very great job at this :] I think my favorite song would have to be Choice Hops and Bottled Self Esteem. Head on A Plate has a great chorus. And I love the beginning words he sings in Landing Feet First. Haha, it was a wonderful album. You should buy it!

This was so worth the wait. The production blows the socks off the last album and every song pokes a finger in my brain and won't let go. I love it when that happens. I can't help but listen to it a few times a day. Go Bayside!

Well...it's Bayside. It's not Sirens or the self-titled. There's definatly a significant chance in the over-all tone of the album. It's a little more eclectic. There's a tuba on "Walking Wounded"; the beginning sounds a little like a circus-ish-ness. That track also features guest vocals from Vinnie of I Am The Avalanche/The Movielife. I think there's a xylophone on one of the tracks--I don't remember which. It's painfully obvious which is the "ode" to Anthony's wife. I don't want to say this album disappointed me...but it's different, and while I wanted a new album, I kind of wanted the same stuff they already had. (But that would be a stupid new album.) I think I read somewhere that when writing this album, Anthony aimed for single-esque works. This is going to be the album to break them to the general public, and it kind of sucks, because I liked no one knowing my favorite band. At the same time though, good for them; they deserve it. Anyway, I'm still partial to Sirens and the self-titled; the old is what it is and I appreciate it for that; the new... It'll grow on me.
