Hit And Run

Don't Fuck With Me

Longshot 28

Released on July 13, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Holy crap... Not since I was a teenager myself (and that was a long time ago) have I heard anything like HIT & RUN!! These young upstarts from Edmonton, Alberta - the punk mecca of Canada - are the newest hard-hitting, honest and sincere band to come along in ages... (what I’m trying to say here is that they’re not infected with the MTV / Hot Topic punk frenzy of today’s generation of ‘punks’). The influences heard on this debut release are easy to peg and you’ll hear nothing extraordinarily new or original in Hit & Run; so if you’re looking for some kind of crappy fusion of punk and metal and emo, etc., then you might as well piss off now... H’n’R are simply an aggressive, angry and raw band of young men who have grown up on a steady diet of So. Cal. punk, hard-core and 80’s UK punk and Oi! Like I said, you won’t find anything ground-breaking with this band, but if you’re into what these guys are into, then you’re gonna love hearing this band! With the combination of tough aggression and catchy, melodic guitars and chanting, sing-a-long choruses, H’n’R most often remind me of the recent So. Cal. explosion of bands like BONECRUSHER...
