Accidental Gentleman

Side One Dummy 1322

Released on January 23, 2007

$10.50

Accidental Gentleman, fleshed out in a mere two weeks with producer Doug Batchelder captures Piebald's intense urgency and pointed subject matter. Ranging from topics such as nature vs. man ("Nature Wins"), street violence ("Getting Mugged and Loving It") and a consumer-driven society ("There's Always Something Better to Do"), the songs were given the final touches by acclaimed mixer/ producer Alex Newport (At the Drive-In, The Mars Volta, Two Gallants) who leant his mixing skills to the wry recordings.

Great Great Buy here if you like piebald even just a little bit....its sad cause this will be their final cd release cause the band broke up earlier this year but all their cd's are great and they put in alot of years in the underground music scene and will always be remembered and missed...

Ive had this cd since its release, but I have not reviewed it yet. It took me a little while, but I really like it. I wouldnt say it is as good as "We are the only friends we have" or thier other albums, but it is definately worth checkng out. Its a real bummer that they are breaking up. But they ended thier Piebald career with a good cd.

Hmmmmm. Well, I have to admit, I REALLY like this cd... alot. My ONLY complaint is the sound/quality. They did the recording on a 4-track which just takes away SO much from the energy and feeling to the record. I thought the sound they had on We Are The Only Friends We Have and even All Ears was perfect. It's a bummer bacsue of all the great songs on here that don't come off as amazing as they could due to the whole 4-track deal. In the end though, it is definitely a great buy.
