Tilly And The Wall

Wild Like Children

Team Love 1

Released on June 22, 2004

The First release from Team Love, A new label owned by Conner Oberst of BRIGHT EYES fame. Tilly and the Wall's debut album, Wild Like Children consists of 10 perfectly formed songs bursting with enthusiastic hyperactivity, while emanating a bittersweet melancholy of long lost summers and misguided first loves. In front of a backdrop of sunshine, rain and snow, Tilly and the Wall sings songs about dancing & drinking, staying & leaving, driving & talking, sleeping & dreamingÅ  and they're probably the only band to write a hauntingly wearied love song built around Madonna's "Into The Groove." If Phil Spector had ever decided to make a record with '60s folk heroes Mimi and Richard Farina, it might've sounded a little bit like Tilly and the Wall.

ha! I'm not usually in to folk musick, but this cd is absolutely amazing. It's not just traditional hippie folk, it has some rock elements incorperated into it as well. Think Bright Eyes with a girl singer [[a guy does sing sometimes too]] mixed with Freezepop, just not so synth-like.

First off Wow, this CD is amazing, Second off, you will like this CD if you like Indie-Rock. This is music that any fan of Bright Eyes, the Arcade Fire, Clap Your hands Say yeah, and such will enjoy. And there's tap dancing(not in a bad way) too!
