Set Your Goals

Eulogy 73

Released on July 11, 2006

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Following in the footsteps of LIFETIME, GORILLA BISCUITS, and SAVES THE DAY, SET YOUR GOALS espouse a brand of positive hardcore punk that has sadly been absent in the music scene in recent years. Recognized as one of the "Top 100 Bands to Look Out For in 2006" by Alternative Press, the band has already gained both respect from critics and ardent fans in their relatively brief career. The band formed in early 2004, as an outlet to play the type of music they loved listening to. From there it grew into what it is now- a dedicated group of guys that have honed their songwriting abilities and are constantly on tour. The band has even persevered and stayed positive despite the theft of their trailer and the rebuilding of their van's transmission (four times). The new album, Mutiny, is full of catchy hooks and insightful lyrics...

Well what do you say about a band with two lead singers who sound like the most cliche pop punkers ever! You say, make more cds boys! yes i dont know what it is about SYG but it just really works for me. Its fast, they give it their all, and they are consistent from song to song. I can see people not liking this cd, but i friggen love it.

OMG!! Set Your Goals is just incredible. Every one of my friends is into this album. Even the kid who doesn't like punk or hardcore likes this album. Set Your Goals is huge. This is the band of 2007 for me. Just amazing.

Mutiny! The CD started out acoustic, so I was sort of apprehensive. Then it started rocking pretty much out of the gate. If you're into the new school hardcore sound and the older hardcore sound ala Lifetime, you might want to check this out.

PRetty Decent release I actually only bought it based on the write up....which makes you really want it I mean Gorilla Biscuit Saves the Day....I mean Cmon!

Well Im sorry but I should have realized this is not Saves the day (but close) and definitly not Gorilla Biscuits.

This can prob best be described as Saves the Day mixed with fast pop punk with a bit of Hardcore and a healthy dose of positivity.

Id give this album a shot if anything mentioned above tickles your fancy
