From the sidewalk outside any venue A.C.O. plays in, the band’s
boisterous street call, “I’m an ANGEL CITY OUTCAST!” spills
through the cracks in the doors as the entire crowd sings along
with the band’s theme song.
Since forming in 2002, ANGEL CITY OUTCASTS have been
writing anthems for Punk’s newest generation. This young, hard
rocking quintet from the notorious city of Los Angeles has been
quickly coming up as one of L.A.’s top street-rock acts. The band,
Alex Brugge (lead vocals), Alex Zabolotsky (bass), Tak Boroyan
(lead guitar, vocals), Bob Zamudio (rhythm guitar) and Ryan
“Scotchy” Markley (drums), had all been friends for years.
However, when this group of talented musicians came together
and flexed their instruments, sheer creative chemistry was set a
blaze.
ANGEL CITY OUTCASTS combine aspects from all of their
favorite musical styles and genres, which includes classic punk,
hardcore, country / rockabilly and hard rock, creating a unique
sound that can loosely be referred to as Street-Punk-Rock-And-
Roll. Their loud and up beat music infuses the urgency and
intensity of punk, with the lyrical storytelling of JOHNNY CASH,
and wailing heavy metal/rock and roll guitar riffs and leads in the
vein of bands like AC/DC and GUNS ‘N ROSES.
Besides the bands incredible instrumental and vocal abilities,
their stage presence only amplifies their appeal as these
charismatic lads interact with the audience through call and
response choruses, jokes and last song requests. Through constant
touring A.C.O. have acquired a loyal and dedicated following in
much of the United States and are receiving constant requests to
visit other parts of the world.

Real, real good album. I don't know what else to say other than that. Just buy the record, play it really loud. Spread the word.

Sailor's grave records put some damn good shit and Angel City Outcasts is no exeptions! Fans of STREET DOGS, GUNS'N'ROSES, JOHNNY CASH and SOCIAL DISTORTION will love this! This is high energy street punk'n'roll with a dash of country! Great sing along and songwriting! The song «bleeding heart saloon» could have been written by ENNIO MORICONNE or be found in any western spaghetti movie! This is the perfect album to do a road trip! No kidding!

Thus far this year, i have to credit Sailors Grave Records as putting out some of the most enjoyable discs this year, (the Welch Boys, Kings of Nuthin, Ducky Boys, Born to Lose), and this being one of the best. Fast, catchy punk rock anthems that do not disappoint. 'Made for This' is one of my new favorite songs. As much fun as this album was, i would love nothing more than to see them live. I highly recommend getting this. One of the best of 2006 thus far.

Deadrose Junction is a great CD. I was wondering if the band would still keep their unique sound with this album, and they didnt let their fans down. It is so refreshing to hear a band that is actually playing what they want to play and not jumping on any bandwagons. It is really original sounding to me, and I think it is because they pull from so many various influences. Highlights include "rev it up" and "down spiral." Get this now, today, this minute...actually this second!!! enj-oi
