I Farm was formed in a tank of the Nanotech
Labratories of the Material Science building at
Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Though they
claim to have been formed in late 1994 the truth
is that they began performing in 1993. (The ruse
existing to explain away their youthful good
looks) Combining melody and technical prowess with
the raw power of punk and metal, I Farm have been
a consistent presence in the DIY scenes of North
America and Europe, delighting audiences,
confounding critics, and spreading their uniqu
melencholy humanism where it is most needed. A
band of long-standing reputation I Farm has
toured/played with the likes of (Mastadon, All,
Plow United, Dysrythmia, The Thumbs, American
Steel, FYP/Toys That Kill, The Fleshies, OCC,
Leather Face, Dillinger 4, Queers, Propaghandi,
Lifetime, Removal, Mile Marker, the list keeps
going) and look with disgust upon the failed ranks
of broken bands. I Farm's latest released,
appropriately tittled I Farm IV, is packed with
enough twist, turns, melody, and speed to keep you
guessing, while creating new pathways of thought
to worlds only I Farm can conjure...Their second
Go-Kart release (following 2003's "Lying To Be
Popular") and 3rd record, recorded and produced at
The Blasting Room, in Ft.Collins.CO, by Jason
Livermore an Bill Stevenson of (The Descendents,
ALL, and Black Flag). I Farm IV also welcomes a
new warrior to the mission, John Meredith of
Someday I. I Farm has come full circle in the last
decade. Stripped back down to a three piece,
stronger than ever and ready to kill! I Farm plan
to support this release with a tour of Europe,
North American, and Japan.
