You could do worse things with your money but this really isn't an essential purchase for anybody, including most Lifetime fans.

who is this Lifetime? I had never heard of them before, yet I saw it in a dream (cue the shitty muzak) an angel appeared before me and said "look, you really, fucking, need to get the new yet it's old Lifetime cd" I woke up and I marveled, did an angel just say "fuck"? Well twenty days later I was on the computer (for private reasons) and I saw this and I knew my destiny was to be FULLfilled. So anyways, I pick this shit up. It was rad, their old shit takes a little warming up to (well what did you expect?) plus it also has the excellente (as the french say) 7" Tinnitus in it, and that is a good 7 inch (yeah I own it ho!). Wait a second, this isn't the fucking cd I was supposed to get to fulfill my destiny. Fawk! Anyways, this is good, I wouldn't even do the whole "for completist" routine and I won't toot thier horn cause there are plenty of emo bastards who can't keep thier lips off of the "horn". In fact if I had a quarter for each time some emo kid said "don't diss emo, you need to go listen to Lifetime!" I'd probably have a nickle. Anyways... shit! Where was I? This is good, cr00sh as they say. Dude buy it and then jack off to it all day... oh yeah the book was lame, I'm sorry, it was just a bunch of scrappy photos that got touched up with scrawled lyrics on them. Plus there was an interview that you could only read half of (couse it was supposed to look "artistic"), who the hell designed this? There were some cool Lifetime logos in it, but honestly I am seriously dissapointed with the "book", I thought I would read an enriching historical account of Lifetime! Instead I got some lame ass visual arts project that'd probably get a B at best... le sigh. Oh the music is great, just think Lifetime during Hello Bastards but a little longer in the songs and a little more Krishna core. I kinda got a Shelter/Shift feel from it, am I insane? I mean I'm probably the only one who got that from the album. Aw well... love you lots...

After owning "Hello Bastards" and "Jersey's Best Dancers" for years, I knew I had to get this release. It's best to buy this double-disc if you own prior material since much of this stuff is early and hard to find. This band paved the way for so many others so you see what other bands saw from them with the content on this cd. Don't buy this for experimenting, buy it since you appreciate what these guys did for the music!

Dude all there is not much more to say about lifetime is that they kick ass and that if you have never heard them, but listen to punk or hardcore then it's time to get in touch with you're roots. This cd is much more for big fans of lifetime, and from reading above you know what it contains. If you love lifetime get this, but if you're just getting into them get Hello Bastards or Jerseys Best Dancers first.
