Some Girls

Heaven's Pregnant Teens

(Give Up The Ghost, American Nightmare, Locust, Plot To Blow UTET, Unbroken)

Epitaph

Released on January 24, 2006

$12.25

Some Girls is a five-person assault out of the sleepy Navy town of San Diego, comprised of the creme de la crass of musicians from that city's famed hardcore/punk underground. Fronted by Give Up The Ghost and American Nightmare's Wes Eisold, the band features a who's who of hardcore players from The Locust, Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower, Unbroken, Over My Dead Body, Swing Kids, and Crimson Curse. This is their first full-length; an unrelenting musical psychosis, adding new dimensions of brutality to Some Girls' now-trademark thrash attack.

This record fucking kills. It blows away AMFAGD. This album is on a whole other level. The lyrics are filled with anger, hatred and religious imagery. The music is brutal, and beyond what you'd expect from modern hardcore. I can listen to this over and over. Brutal record from start to finish. Even when they just play one chord for 9 minutes on Deathface, it keeps your interest.

This album is o.k.And I stress "o.k."It's definantly not as good as there previous releases. It's a full length which some old fans might not appreciate.Theres maybe 1 or 2 decent songs on here. But, I wouldn't recommend buying this if you're new to the band.I would get "All My Friends Are Going Death."Much better. This one's kinda repetitive. The artwork is pretty cool but it doesn't make up for the album itself.

some girls are really good. i don't really like this one as much as all my friends are going death. most of the songs are really good but some of them drag on (Deathface). I think the best songs on here are "you'll be happier with lower standards" and "dead in a web"

okay so I've given it some serious thought and well good album on it's own, however if you were listening to The DNA Will Have It's Say before you bought this, then it's just not nearly as good. So go out and find a copy of The DNA Will Have It's Say because Heaven's Pregnant Teens just isn't the best that Some Girls can do.
