Job For A Cowboy

Doom

King Of The Monsters 25

Released on December 6, 2005

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Debut release from this Arizona act that blurs the lines between death metal and hardcore. More metal than your average metalcore band. A destructive and uncompromising blast of blistering metal, hardcore and grind that will appeal to fans of Impaled, Crematorium, and Through The Eyes of the Dead.

This EP boosted JFAC too heights for a reason. Its Good. Catchy songs that will amaze you from start to finish. My Fav. track is "Knee Deep". Blast Beats and Breakdowns what can beat that. 5 Stars.

I agree with this other fellow down there, the breakdown on track 2 is indeed JAW DROPPING. Plus it's got a pretty sweet scream just before it tears up your insides. This is a solid debut release. I love the songs ENTOMBMENT OF A MACHINE and KNEE DEEP. If you are a metal, metalcore, deathmetal, or even just a fan of anything with double bass and chunky guitar..buy this. The price is right and i can almost bet you will be stoked to have this in your collection. I a buy these miniature non-vinly plastic materials disc to makea the benefit of my manys musical collections in where i keep in my CD purse. IS GOOD....SO YOU MUST LISTEN UPON IT. YOU BUY IT. Oh and if it is still available, the GARUDA EP on here is definetly worth picking up as well. Please, LISTEN UPON IT!!

Brutal CD, huge sub-drops and breakdowns, half-speed>quarter-speed and further and further. Awesome vocal job: lots of highs, and unusually cool lows. Metal/core, death, grind, whatever: don't try and give it a name, just listen to it, fucking good heavy CD. Favourite songs for me are Entombment Of A Machine, The Rising Tide and Suspended By The Throat. It would be good if they did a little bit more techy/arty stuff, I know there's lots in there as it is, but more like the break bit in The Rising Tide (if you know the song you'll know what I mean).

I can't wait to hear a full-length effort from these guys, truly an amazing CD, especcially considering all members are still in high school, and the drummer's only 16. 5 stars from me.

I get tired of people claiming bands like dillinger, botch, isis, norma jean, etc are awesome bands with this superb musical talent. I mean yeah, they put out o.k. stuff, but they aren't jaw dropping. THIS album is jaw dropping. I haven't heard anything like this EVER.

This album is SIC!I never heard of this band before this cd was released. But, I thought I'd give'em a try and DAMN I'm glad I did. This album is just fucking brutal. The breakdowns, the blast beats, the dual vocals. The lyrics are superb.Very cynical.I just wish there were more songs on here. But, the songs are just great. This is a perfect cd for fans of Through the Eyes of the Dead and The Tast of Blood.I would recommend this album to about anyone, whether I know them or not.

What makes it hard to rate and write a review for these guys is that there are so many bands doing the whole grind/death/metal-core thing that they all sound the same. The reason why Job For a Cowboy is getting such big hype and is worth checking out is because while they lack in originality they do it really well. In fact they would be one of my favorites if there wasn't already 10 thousand bands doing this. But if your into metal they are definitly worth checking out.
