The Academy Is... is? really good. They are extremly poppy so if you are not into that stay away. I would recommend this to fans of Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy. William Beckett has mastered the vocals on this CD, the lyrics are fucking great too. I am trying not to give out as many 5 stars anymore, but this is really deserving of it. Of course if you like screamo then this may not be your cup of tea.

Not my favorite cd on the shelf but none the less. Semi whiney vocals, great hooks, cool drum beats can not stop me from buying this but still its not a 5 in my books.

One of the best albums of the year hands down. Excellent vocals and super catchy songs. This is an album that grows on you. You appreciate it more and more every time you listen to it. Make sure to give it a few complete listens before you pass judgment. The only problem is after you listen to it a few times you won't be able to stop listening, it's that good.

this album is amazing! it's no wonder why a major label snapped them up before their debut was even released on FBR. the songs are infectious, blending clever/sharp lyrics with catchy riffs. and these guys are all under 20, so their bound to get better with maturity. there is no filler on this album, and you've gotta be pretty shallow to write this off as "just another pop-punk band!" highly recommended for anyone who likes fall out boy, starting line or new found glory. these guys have a style all their own, but share similarities with the above bands. the only negative here is a horrible band name, but that's forgiveable.

Another FBR band that just tends to grow on you. This is a solid release, but is not for everyones likeing. It does expand and gives you a view of different styles on their first album. It seems to me their next album should be huge if they kinda tone it down and not jump back and forth all over the album. The best songs are: "Attention", "Season", and "Classifieds".Get thid if you like bands like Something Corporate,Rooney, or Phantom Planet.

First off these guys are pretty good live, I saw them with Fall Out Boy before this cd was released. The performance was great, and so is this debut. Do yourself a favor and pick it up. The songs are very catchy and will have you singing along in no time...I'm sure they will grow even bigger after people have experienced this albumn, or have seen them live..they've been touring quite a bit it seems, they have been to Cleveland 2 times in the past couple months...one with fall out boy and midtown and then with something corporate and straylight run. Pick it up and give them a listen!

really good cd... great vocals and guitar [love the second guitar (except in "the phrase that pays")] . very nice drums patterns, easy to keep up with and tap you foot to... One of those cd's you can listen to the whole way through.. except "the phrase that pays" which is a good song until the course, where the guitars overpower the vocals and you cant hear what is going on... who knows maybe some people like that but that's not for me. Good variety and lyrics. "Black Mamba" and "Seasons" are the songs that first caught my interest, but if you just listen through a couple times the other songs grow on you very quickly. I caught myself singing a different song of theirs everyday at school when i first purchased the album... very easy to listen to and A GREAT cd.. Fans of TBS should enjoy this album.
