The day when this record arrives from the pressing plant was expected here with impatience. AM Thawn belongs to one of my favorities since their brilliant album Victorian Leaves and after the impressing show with The Robocop Kraus (who became their eager agents) Day After signed the band for the new album. The result is ‘Coalition: Now’, ten song album capturing the immeasurable evolution AM Thawn went through. Coalition: Now is about controlling the space. The band is building with adult use of technical virtuosity in the “less is more³ style songs consisting of groovy beats which are filled with supple, spastic guitar sound and decent keyboars underlines. Musically, AM Thawn are somewhere between the DC rock representing by Q And Not U or Black Eyes and NY art punk like Les Savy Fav with a decent Gang Of Four flavor in the guitar lines.
