Caustic Christ

Government Job

Havoc 35

Released on November 2, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

While much of the hardcore scene is based on the energy and anger of the youth, there's something to be said for a band made up of bitter old guys. Years of experience and a complete lack of youthful idealism leave you with some truly raw, powerful, aggressive, no frills hardcore punk rock. Caustic Christ on this release take a "less is more" approach by stripping away the frivolity of fashion and getting down to the brass tacks. Here are five tracks of pure hc punk animosity coming at you like the '79 Steelers "Wall of Steel." Look for them on tour as the live show is like an mallet to the head. Half the crowd will be stunned like they've been zapped with a tazer and the other half are jumping around like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Pittsburgh brings it...again.

To me, this is Caustic Christ's weakest release. Now, don't get me wrong when I say that. This is still a great seven inch, and still beats the shit out of most music floating around out of there. But, the band's previous releases hold much more ground than this, but Caustic Christ reclaimed their ground with Lycanthropy. That is one damn good album. You should still definitely get this. Caustic Christ never disappoints.

This is quite possibly the best work Caustic Christ has ever put out. It's hard, it's fast, it makes you wanna knock out a wall. Standard Caustic Christ haha. The title track has lyrics that sound just like something Jello Biafra would write. The best track is "Sadist Society." Just buy, steal, borrow, or whatever you do and just get this record.

this is a pretty good 7". i had only heard one song by them before i got this. i heard that a few guys from Aus Rotten were in this band so i figured i would check them out cuz Aus Rotten is fuckin great. it goes by pretty quick. but i would say check them out. nothin super great. but worth the money. get a 7" first before you buy one of their full legnths.
