Death Or Glory

TKO 115

Released on June 3, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Portland OR's reigning kings of reality punk are back with their third studio album!!! Death Or Glory is the next chapter in the Riffs journey to rock'n roll ruin. The Riffs distill the most potent influences of 70's punk rock n' roll to create an album that sounds like a lost classic from 25 years ago! Elements of the Clash, Generation X, The Ramones, Johnny Thunders, and David Bowie bleed through the speakers when you listen to this record. If you miss the "good old days" or, like the Riffs themselves, feel that you are cursed in this life by being born decades too late, drop the needle on this platter and you'll feel a whole lot better!

Someone obviously left their NY Dolls and Heartbreakers albums out for their sons to find. This is some seriously straight-up unadulterated Thunders worship, and yet it stands on it's own as definitely a great solid rock & roll album that bristles with a punk rock sensibility. You can't put your arms around a memory but you can get your hands on this album. LAMF indeed.

This was a great album. the music was great and the lyrics too. Songs like Wasted Years and L.A. Suicide show what they go through. For any Riffs fan buy this.
