Born And Raised In East L.A., the punk sounds of Los Difuntos features the charismatic Christian Torres on vocals and guitar. The band formed in 2003 and unleashed a hard charging EP in 2006, “Born’ Raised and Passed Away…” on Rancid Records. In 2007, Los Difuntos’ began recording their self titled debut album. Produced by Michael Rozon and recorded in Los Angeles, the band crafted a brilliant album that incorporated the punk sounds of the Clash and Rancid with traditional rock and roll and a touch of psychobilly. Think of all the best elements of Tiger Army. Lyrically Torres delves into his deeply intense life experiences growing up in East L.A.

Being a big fan of American psychobilly and rockabilly i was interested when i read the other reviews of this cd and bought it.I expected some East La psychobilly... But I have to say I found this release to be pretty ordinary. There were one or two ok songs but mostly it sounded like 90's pop punk. I guess if you like that sort of stuff you might like this! I sure didn't though.

when i bought this album i had heard about 4 of the tracks and was impressed. The entire album is brilliant. Not a bad song on there.
highlights are Leon's Downfall, Lies In Disquise and Posear Josh. Every song is a winner and it dosnt contain any fillers.
