How and when do I Pay?

Currently we accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks, money orders and cash for payment. All payments must be in U.S. funds. No matter how you decided to pay, you will have to place your order online. Your order will begin processing once payment is received. Items are not reserved until payment is received.

How do I pay with a credit card?

During the checkout process you will be asked to select a payment option. If you select credit card you will be asked to enter in your credit card number, expiration date and billing address. If you pay by credit card your order will begin processing immediately. Billing and shipping address must exactly and be the correct address. We will verify your address with your bank before shipping your order. We may make exception for collage and work addresses. For collage addresses your school name must appear in the shipping address. For shipping to a work address your company name must appear in the shipping address. If the credit card billing address does not match with your shipping address, or the issuing bank's records your order will be halted. We will attempt to contact you. If the problem cannot be resolved your order may be canceled and you will be notified by email. If your credit card declines a notification email will be sent to you. We will retry your card only after we hear from you and you have contacted your bank to make sure the problem is resolved and the payment will go through.

Can I use a relative's, parent's, friend's or company credit card?

If you are using a credit card that is not yours, you must have permission and you must include a contact phone number or email address for the cardholder. Upon determination of the credit card information we may halt your order and contact the card holder to verify that the credit card charge is authorized before processing your order. We may request that the card holder submit a credit card authorization form and provide proof of card ownership. If we determine it is not authorized we will cancel the order and a notification email will be sent to you.

Is it safe to use my credit card at Interpunk?

Yes! Our secure server software (SSL) is the strongest security available for Websites. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels from your computer to our server. Once your personal information reaches our server, there are multiple layers of security (including encryption of data) to keep your information safe. When you check out, you will see the Secure Server Icon on your web browser. From that point forward, all information you give us will be securely transmitted to us.

Credit Card Fraud Statement

We take credit card fraud very seriously. Before your credit card is charged, we verify that your credit card billing address matches your shipping address. Then, we verify that same address with the card issuing bank to make sure you are the correct owner of the credit card. If any of this information does not match, or your card was reported lost or stolen, we will report you to the credit card fraud agency and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We also send all contact information that you provided to us during the ordering process, plus your current IP address, the ISP you are using, and the current time so it will make finding you simple. If you are using a Pentium III (or greater) computer we will also capture and send your computer's unique chip ID. This is all done to protect you, the card holder, and us from losing any money.

How can I pay with cash, check or Money Order?

If you don't want to use a credit card to pay for your order, we will gladly accept good old cash, check or a money order. During the checkout process you should choose Mail In Payment from the payment options. You will then be given an order number and the mailing address. Remember that all payments must be in US Dollars! Your order will not begin processing and items will not be reserved until full payment is received. If you decide to send in cash, we will NOT accept any coins, so please round your order total up to the nearest dollar and we will give you credit towards your next order for the extra amount you paid. Also if you send in payment it will be at your own discretion. We will not be responsible for payments lost in the mail. Once we receive your payment a notification email will be sent to you. When mailing in your payment please include your name, address and order number.

What if my check bounces?

We will contact you if we receive notification from the bank if your check has bounced. You will be responsible for paying the original amount of the check plus a $20.00 returned check fee. This isn't because we want to punish you or anything, but our bank is charging us that fee.

I have credit with Interpunk. How can I use it?

You should place a new order on your Interpunk account. After clicking on Check Out, you will see the option to use your credit on the payment selection screen. If your order total is more than the amount of credit you have, you can pay the balance with cash, check, moneyorder, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express.

I was given an InterPunk gift certificate. How do I use it?

An InterPunk gift certificate works like a debit card. It can be used multiple times until the balance reaches zero. To use your gift certificate, place an order like you normally would. On the payment screen enter your gift certificate number in the Payment Information section. If your gift certificate will pay for your entire order, choose Prepay for your payment type. If it won't cover your whole order, choose the payment type that you will use to pay for the balance of your order. You do not need to mail us your gift certificate. Once you have used it all you can throw it away.
