Best bands are Choking Victim and Leftover Crack. If you like one then you have to like the other. These guys know how to play good ska, not that trumpet/horns shit. Very fast album. If you like screaming hardcore punk, buy it.

The first time I heard this I was so disappointed. I'd heard and loved 500 Channels and it seemed like the 2 days I had to wait to get it took forever. When I got it I was REALLY disappointed. It sucked. But then I listened to it more, and now I love it. It's fucking great. The metal songs at the end annoy the piss out of me though. I'm not a big fan of the talking either. Great CD, but it needs to be listened to a few times.

This is a classic. In my opinion it could go down in history as one of the best punk albums ever made. the one that started all the madness...

BFJ!

WEll, i bought this cd on recomendation from my drummer Dann, as i was going on about LEFTOVER CRACK for about 5 hours, and he told me this CD (by basicaly the same band) was better!

SO hop to it i snapped this little number up, and ..........

Nah, it just doesn't quite cut the shit like Mediocre Generica, and although its an amazin album, a classic and well worth 5 stars, its just not quite as good as the LoC effort.

There are some awesome moments, like intro song "500 Channles", and "5 Finger Discount" or "Suicide(a better Way)", and it is undoubted that if any punk kid ever owns this CD and shoots themself in the dessert while high on crack, then STZA is gona be gettin the slayer/Judas Priest etc treatment, or if Tipper Gore hears this little beauty she's gone be puttin very large black and white stickers on all helcat and punk records, as this is DEFINATELY the most polliticaly UN-correct yet atni-racist/homophobic/sexist piece of toungue in cheek ska/skate/raw punk, with it's smartness and damm good tunes, it is a classic in it's own rite, and though i feel it was only leading up to Mediocre Generica, this bitch is worth buying.

Basicaly wot i'm sayin is if u dont own any CV o LoC, then get Mediocre Generica by LoC, but if you have that, buy this, if u have this buy that, confused? Dont worry just shoot some dope, smoke some crack and watch TV till it all goes away...................

9/17/2002 by Dan from Niskayuna, NY Rating:
this cd is insane! It takes a listen or two to really get into it in it's entirity. I'd have to say that 500 channels and suicide are the best songs, and you should check out INDK and Leftover Crack

8/23/2002 by Nate from Salisbury, VT Rating:
Amen. This shit is wonderful. Hardcore-Metal-Ska (with no brass, of course) that Against All Authority wishes they could duplicate. The talking by the Woody Allen dead-ringer is kind of annoying between a couple songs, but these guys rock so much that they can get away with it.

It's not the happiest CD you ever heard, but it rocks and after one or two full listens you'll get into it.

I would recomend it to anyone, but especially fans of AAA, Propaghandi, Rancid, Op Ivy, Misfits (maybe?), and of course Leftover Crack/INDK/CRS7.

NYCHC!

8/9/2002 by Andrew from Phoenix, AZ Rating:
Well, not the greatest. Don't let them fool you with their hardcore/punk look, this is for fans of Operation Ivy-type ska punk. Fun music, but they're just not really intelligent/talented enough to deal with politics. I have to take off a little on the rating for all the pointless and goofy cop-killing and nation-hating propaganda (try Propagandhi or Swallowing Shit if you're looking for an intelligently political band). Crack Rock Steady and 500 channels are the best tracks. But try their other release, or better yet Leftover Crack's Mediocre Generica first.

7/22/2002 by Lisa from Brooklyn, NY Rating:
And when there is no hope, I smoke some crack I shoot some dope. When there's no enemies, I sit and stare at my TV. Get this album and learn how to do the same !!! Brilliant ex squatters !

7/22/2002 by Brandon from Danbury, WI Rating:
good against all authority type skacore style. the lyrics on most the songs are pretty good. Now that i've heard cv i'm gonna have to check out leftover crack.
