The newest addition to the Eyeball Records family, My Chemical Romance stands up to their self-imposed challenge, bringing a unique, honest, and brutal sound to the scene. By the release of their self recorded Attic Demo, "Dreams About Stabbing and or Being Stabbed' MCR had created a buzz and delivered a live show so intense it far surpassed the hype building around them. Described when playing live like 'A swarm of vampire bats', their shows have the makings of an exorcism, cascading into a head-on collision of explosive drums, lacerating guitar riffs, machine gun bass lines, and dark melodic vocals. Killing off all the demons and non-believers with their tales of revenge, switchblade saints, magic bullets, anti-depressants, and the loneliness of the modern office space, the band finishes the set in an inspiring wreckage of human tragedy - if they don't happen to kill each other first.

| I don't think I can express how amazing this cd is... you will just have to get it for yourself to find out. But they are so original and creative... great lyircs... great riffs... while incorporating all kinds of styles.. and to think they made this cd after only a year of being together these guys have so much talent. Can't wait to see them live. |

| lyrically it's unreal. every song adds another chapter to the bizarre story that is their vocalist, gerard. musically it's energy personified, passionate and absolutley addicitng. a bucnh of genres get thrown into a blender and the switch is flipped to pulverize. an original sound at a time where it is easy to just fall in line. plus, their live show is sick. |

| wow this CD is totally not what i expected after reading al the other reviews but still is really good and catchy none the less. i was expecting something more along the lines of Thursday since Geoff produced this but instead it's like older AFI mixed with Alkaline Trio and this original sound that you don't really hear in anything else but is still really good. "Honey This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us" "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" and whatever track 3 is are my favorites as of now but i haven't gotten to listen to the whole thing in complete depth at the time(probably should have waited til i wrote the review then, huh?)so that could change. but all in all a good release. pick it up for something really different. |

| when i first heard My Chemical Romance, specifically the song, "Headfirst for Halos", I said...what the hell is this!!!.... after awhile, it grew into me, along with the rest of the cd...its that good!!! What makes it good is how they're different from a lot of bands out there, using different elements and different style changes in each song...its just amazing....highly recommended |

| Wow! There's not much to say, this is an amazing young band, and I've been fortunate enough to catch them live and needless to say they blew me away. This is just an all around great album, I'd say they have something to offer to all genres...but don't take my word for it, BUY IT YO DAMN SELF!!! |

| My Chemical Romance is seriously the best band ever and this cd is amazing. Any rock fan who says MCR is bad obviously is just a poser and wouldn't know good music if it crawled up their tight ass. Also, if you have ever seen MCR live, you'd know that they are amazing and that they possess qualities rare in bands nowadays...they care! I don't give a rat's ass if u don't believe me but these guys are really there for their fans. Although they may grow in fame, these guys will never be sellouts like the rest of your crappy punk-ass bands. And since MCR's songs don't all sound identical like half the cds out there, you really can't compare them to other bands because they have their own sounds and don't need your lame-ass labels.
So let's cut the crap: MCR rocks, this cd is great, and if you disagree then shutup and get a life (u kno u need one, i bet u like avril fucking lavigne u freakin poser!) |

| This Cd is more of a Rock 'n' Roll hardcore type sound with a dark sound mixed in there too. Unfortuantlly I expected a lot more out of this cd because of how much I have been hearing about them lately but I can't say that it's anything good. I wouldn't really bother checking this out except maybe songs 2 and 3, those are pretty much the only good ones on it. |

| please don't compare this to thursday or thrice or TBS or any of those bands...those guys are actually good at what they do...these guys are just trying desperately to be like them. they got more of a goth rock vibe going though. I liked this cd at first, but i couldn't stand it after a few days. whatever you do, don't be tricked into buying this...stick to the above bands, i'm tired of all these wanna be thursday bands. and i don't get what is so good about that vampire song...and i have to disagree w/ the guy below me, this drummer is awful...i don't know how you could like it...man do these guys suck! oh my goodness! wow! don't get it! geez! terrible! |
