| excellent, excellent record. it took me a while to get into, but now i'm in and it is always in my car, for quick access to the cd player. by why am i writing this? by now everyone knows against me! by now, and if they don't they're probably not into them in the first place. "baby, i'm an anarchist" is probably the highlight, although i myself, am a spineless liberal. |

| Great political cd, without all the recycled ideas. Reinventing Axl Rose symbolizes the way we look at music. Instead of worshipping the Against Me! fellas, we should see them as other audience memebers, see them as humans. As for the music, I think their acoustic stuff is the best. Those Anracho Punks, is a good stuff, but 10x better as an acoutic track. Some of these tracks are crappy, but their are many that shine brightly, like Baby I'm An Anarchist |

| I bought this disc based on word of mouth alone. I was not disappointed. What a great band. I don't quite know how to describe their sound, it does have a folk hint to it. All of the songs are excellent. My favorite tune would have to be 'Baby, I'm An Anarchist!', a damn fine song. Do yourself a favor and buy this disc, you will not be letdown! And let us hope their Fat debut does not disappoint! |

| So I finally got around to buying this cd after downloading half of the songs from it. Wow after hearing the different versions of there songs this CD had to offer I started to like Against Me! even more. Against Me! is a band for just about everyone, I mean if your into bands such as The Virus or Funeral Dress then you should really check this band out. Against Me! truly focuses on there lives and the punk scene especially on "Reinventing Axl Rose" which talks about the scene (I suggest searching and reading the lyrics to it). There need to be more bands out there singing about there lives and the punk community, Against Me! are truly a fine example of how Punk is still alive and well. I was pissed off when I heard they signed to Fat Wreck which is owned by an idiot who signed a bunch of other bands that sound like his band that have no meaning in there lyrics. I hate Fat Wreckords along with Epitaph and I hope this change in lable doesn't ruin them as the person before me stated. |

| alright, I usually don't review CDs, but I have some things to say about this.
first off, if you decided to to download some MP3s off this album before buying, make sure you know which album they are from. I was taken by suprise to hear different (and unfortunately worse) versions of "Jordan's first choice", "those anarco punx are mysterious...", and "reinventing Axl Rose." - my favorite songs that I had heard. The versions from the acoustic CD are by far better.
But I don't want to sound like I don't absouletly love this band. The other songs alone would earn well more than 5 stars for this review.
Buy this CD, it will put your faith back in music.
Here's to hoping being on Fat Wreck won't ruin them. |
