WWD4D? And what the hell do they mean by "situationist comedy" anyway? Well, the joke's on you if you think this record is anything short of brilliant. Adorable little girls, firearms, primates, and sonic terrorism...genius!

Unbelievably awsome CD. it gets 4 starts only becuz its not quite up to what Midwestern Songs gives. But it's still amazing. O man, u wanna hear something awful.. i read this thing in Rolling Stone about a few artists' favorite CDs and avril fuckin lavigne had Situationist Comedy as one of hers!! Uggghhhh

1/20/2003 by Dave from Plymouth Meeting, PA Rating:
No band can touch these guys. Their sound is unique unto themselves. At time hard, at times edgy, at times old time r'n'r, but always melodic. This is the music for every 9 to 5 corporate peon like myself who desperately seeks a voice for all their discontent. Passionate to the core, and unwavering in their socio-political ideals. This was the best record of 2002 as far as I'm concerned. You will play this over and over and over, and it will always sound fresh.

i bought this because these guys were touring with the lawrence arms and i really like them so i gave it a spin. Damn!!!! these guys are fucking good they have a combination of old hardcore punk vocals with newer yet still gruff vocals as well. The song titles and cd may have funny names but the lyrics are very well thought out and reall really damn good guitar riffs and everything i am definately recommending this cd to anyone who like punk of any shape and size

12/4/2002 by Louie from Nedrow, NY Rating:
Fat Wreck's greatest band, and release! god damn at first i was'nt to impressed, then i read the lyrics... i forgot those were the best parts! get this CD because its better than having some cheap ass DESCENDENTS wanna-be punk bands. oh yeah this CD is the greatest

8/20/2002 by Kris from Kingston, MA Rating:
my first time listening to d4 and i wasnt disappointed. really strong album, but you can barely hear the lyrics a lot, which is kind of annoying. a lot of great songs and pure energy in all of em. these guys know how to rock.

7/30/2002 by Georges from Grand Falls, NB Canada Rating:
D4 is definitely one of the best bands in punk today. They've got harmony & pop sensibility, but their style is fucking HARD and dirty, the way punk should be. "New Punk Fashions..." exemplifies my opinion of modern 'punk' to a tee. Don't just take it from me, Fat Mike & Billie Joe have both stated how damn good this band is. Get this and their earlier stuff!

7/29/2002 by Joseph from Oakville, ON Canada Rating:
First and foremost, D4 can do no wrong in my mind. They are by far my favorite band. They have a unique sound, kick ass vocals, and the best lyrics I've ever heard. I thought the move to Fat might change them for the worse (ie. Lawrence Arms), but I now know that they're never gonna change. I've been listening to them since their Hopeless debut, and they've never failed me. Listen to Cleveland Bound Death Sentence too, St. Patrick's in it, and they kick ass too.

7/8/2002 by Jamie from Globe, AZ Rating:
I've heard many people saying that Dillinger Four is going to save punk music...and after hearing this, I couldn't agree more. It's so refreshing to hear a band like this in a sea of watered down pop punk and "emo." D4 play dirty midwestern punk with a lot of pop sensibility...all the while spewing some of the most intelligent lyrics I've heard in a while. Get this CD and then once you realize how incredible they are, rush out and buy all their past releases.

7/1/2002 by Jacob from Washington, DC Rating:
If you like D4, you will not be disappointed. I liked the other 2 albums better, but this is good. The songs don't stand out as much as their earlier songs. Great band!

6/11/2002 by Sam from Olympia, WA Rating:
Obviously, Dillinger Four is one of the best and most original punk bands out there. So I had high expectations for this album. I think it met them, but didn't go above and beyond like their past two albums have. One of the things i really admired them for was incredible flow lyrically, and I felt it was lacking, especially on "Floater..." Still, this is an awesome album. Their sound has evolved from the bassy thump of "Midwestern Songs". It takes more old-school tones, like on "Versus God". I would recommend getting this album after the others, but the lyrics on "New Punk Fashions..." are perfect for anyone who lives in a suburban wasteland. Enjoy.
