This is an awesome CD. I am a huge AFI fan. They are my favorite band. This album was when their sound was still very punk. My favorite tracks are "File 13" and "This Secret Ninja". You should check this CD out if you are really into punk or if you are a hardcore AFI fan.

I like a few songs on this album. This isn't as good as shut your mouth and open your eyes. Although the two sound so different it's almost had to compare them. This band has mastered the key to evolving musically. You never know what to expect when they put out something new. It sucks that they are TRL wannabes. They are still great live, and they still have the same passion. Hopefully they can prove everyone claiming them sell outs wrong.

Always a good CD to kickback and listen to for fun. I originally got into AFI through All Hallows ep, and since then I have bought their CDs from latest to oldest. Anyone who listens to AFI at all knows how much the band has evolved over the years, and you almost have to be in a totally different mindset for each CD. While some of their later stuff is more personal and has more meaning in the lyrics, CDs like Very Proud of Ya' are just great to listen to when you're bored (you know, play some air guitar and sing along to Cruise Control as loud as you can). If you're a newer AFI fan, don't buy this and expect Sing the Sorrow, because you will be sorely disappointed. All in all I love Very Proud of Ya' to death, but for different reasons then say Art of Drowning or Black Sails.

Another perfect score for AFI. though some of the songs arent that good cause they tend to bland together a little, the ones that do stand out (4,5,6,8,10,14,15,16) are extremely. Poeople hate new AFI, but this is the same thing, with different sounds. theyre still conveying all their emotions and beliefs, all mixed with perfect punk messages in them theough their songs, though this has more of those classic punk, four chord songs. but listen to the ones that arent, there just as good. and give new afi a chance. AND GO BUY THIS. NOW!

This is an awesome AFI cd. Of course every one of their cds is. This isn't their greatest cd but it still is awesome. I reccomend this cd and every other AFI cd or e.p. AFI, in my oppinion, is the greatest band out there. They've evolved into something no one else has. The vocalist skills, guitar, drum, and bass skills are amazing. So buy this cd.

wow. this cd completes my afi collection and up till now i thought that "answer that and stay fashionable" was afi's greatest cd, but this might just beat it. its the old (punk) afi which is better than the goth shit they are releasing now.
