One of the best Punk albums of all-time. Nuff said about these pioneers. If you don't know about Black Flag and this album, you should not be here, but if you choose to stick around, educate yourself about the history of punk and buy this.

Very powerful, gripping album. Fans of Minor Threat,Husker Du, 7 seconds and even Descendents will definetly enjoy. The music itslef sounds similar to Milo goes to College but the vocals from Henry Rollins and the lyrics from Greg Ginn are considerably different.Pretty angry, pretty tough and will definetly blow your mind the first few times you hear it. After awhile you'll get used to the power and just sing along. Best songs are "tv party" which is the closest thing to a pop-punk song that's on this album, it's that fucking catchy, also , " rise above" is fucking catchy but more like an anthem than like a poppy song, "damaged II" is fucking crazy and "six pack" is fucking funny. Lot of drinking songs. This is a pretty great album. ONLY REAL PUNKS PLEASE IF YOU LIKE BLINK, SUM41, NFG, GOOD CHARLOTTE YOUR EARS WILL BLEED AND YOU WILL CRY.

This is some kick ass, not giving a shit punk rock. This album is so sick it hurts. Great songs with a ratty sound. The only thing that hurts this album is the recording. Its really hard to hear the actual music on some songs but I delt with it and rocked out. Overall its a must have album to have in your collection. Grab a six pack of trashy beer and listen to it all the way through.

Very good. Henry's a good singer in my fucking opinion. These songs are a little less hardcore than I'm used to for black flag, but the songs are still fast. Get this or The First Four Years.

ok first off...Black Flag is amazing. this cd is great. this has all my favorite black flag songs like "Rise Above" "Six Pack" "Spray Paint" "TV Party" "Thirsty and Miserable" "Police Story" "Gimme Gimme Gimme" "Depression" "Room 13" "Padded Cell" and both "Damaged I" & "Damaged II". if you like Henry Rollins-era Black Flag like i do (but it seems no one else does)and the other music out at this time like Minor Threat then buy this....you will love it, im not dissapointed at all. if you like this you should also check out "the first four years" and "my war" which has probably my most favorite Black Flag song (my war). anyway, later for now. -Ben

Great CD by 80's Hardcore legends Black Flag, all of the songs are great. Police Story has great lyrics and they are right about how even though we hate the pigs and they hate us and take the rights away of the youth there is no way we can ever win against them. I definitly recommend this cd for anyone into 80's Hardcore/Street Punk and even if you've only heard 1 or 2 songs by them you won't be disappointed with this album. Well I don't really have anything left to say except RISE ABOVE WE'RE GONNA RISE ABOVE!!!
