| What the fuck is all the fuss? I thought after all the superlatives being hurled at this band i better check 'em out.....Well, just remember 'don't believe everything you read'...Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst thing i've heard...It starts off resonably on the first 3 tracks where Claudio's original vocal style is apparent...then i'm afraid it's downhill all the way until it degenerates into something akin to some crappy peter gabriel/genesis style wannabe band...I don't know what the first album is like but it's got to be better than this fucking turkey....decidedly average is the best i can say about it |

| Amazing amazing amazing. You really can't put this CD into a genre or sub-group of punk. You might say its emo, but barely any emo at all. And if it is, it has no topics that the usual emo bands have (like break ups and all that happy crap). If you have an open mind, and like any kind of rock in general, you'll like at least the majority of this cd. I'll break it down for you:
Ring In Return: A general intro, brings you into the mood of the whole cd, about a minute of a dark, gothic, opera song and then something that could sound like the destruction of earth, sending you right into track 2.
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3: My favorite track. This has a little of everything, a ton of break downs, mellow at times, harder at others, at 8-some minutes you might think it's repetative. Not at all. Right when you think it's over, it starts back up with a full all-out choir. Awesomeness.
Cuts Marked...: More all-out rock song, awesome guitar riffs, awesome vocals as usual. 5ish minutes long, not much else to say. Also one of my favs.
Three Evils: A Happier upbeat song, not bad though. Also a little over 5 minutes.
The Crowing: A little repetative, I don't see what's so great about it since some people say its their best song. You be the judge. The 2nd half is the best of it.
Blood Red Summer: I'm not 100% sure what this song's supposed to give us, to me it sounds like something from the Powerpuff girls with a lot of "HEY! HEY! HEY!"s and clapping, but if your in the mood for something happyish then its still a cool song.
Velourium Camper 1-3: These songs really have nothing to do with each other, but nevertheless theyre awesome too. I mean, with a chorus "Die White Girls", what the hell is it about anyway? #1 is more mellow, and kinda a lovey dovey song for Co and Ca, #2 is dark and hard, a lot of yelling. #3 is the Die White Girls song, and personally, even with lyrics like that, its my favorite.
Favor House Atlantic: Kind of a upbeat song, nice little sing a long song. That is, if you have a really high voice or your girlfriend around. Really catchy. The only problem is its a little under 4 minutes long.
The Light and the Glass: Starts out REALLY mellow, acoustic, and really high vocals. Over 9 minutes long so it changes alot. Ends with an organ, and some really cool sound effects.
Hidden Track : OH YES. A HIDDEN TRACK. Its pretty sweet, has a riff in it from Time Consumer if you listen close, around halfway through. Ends acoustic. Around 9 minutes long also.
So, all in all, awesome CD, long songs, long CD. If you're new to Co and Ca, get this CD first. Hell, get this CD if you like any form of rock, punk, emo, hardcore, ANYTHING... just maybe not ska? But I like ska. Nothing to do with ska on this... yea, anyways, you WILL NOT regret buying this. Some people argue that its not that great just because its not "hardcore enough". Just have an open mind and enjoy the ride, because you're gonna be listening to this for a while. It also comes with a DVD with a few videos, some are quite amusing. And as an added bonus, a lot of girls like Co and Ca too! Yes, this will give more more than an 0 in 10 chance of finding a woman. Good luck and BUY THIS CD!
Oh by the way, wanna talk to me? ThePortijon on AIM. I'm bored. Save meee.

| They did it again. As i sat and listened to the first track, in seconds i was in awe. After, seeing them live with THRICE, and THURSDAY, I knew buying this cd would be an unforgettable experience. The combination of their melodic riffs, high pitch voices, and headbanging drums builds together a sound of unstoppable superiority that can leave any ear in amazement and satisfication. I recommend anybody to order this cd immediately. |

| Bands I do like: Good Riddance, Strike Anywhere, Dillinger Four, Anti-Flag, Rise Against, Thrice, Alkaline...
DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE
I bought this CD based on reviews written, just to try something new. The Crowing mp3 clip provided does not reflect the rest of the CD or the rest of the song. To me it seems like a band that is trying way to hard to be complicated and different. I support bands being different and new, cause its a matter of progression, but CO&CA went too far, or not far enough. I had to force myself to listen to it four times and could't take it, there are SOME good parts and SOME good singing in very short sections. If you like very long songs (over 6 min), with strange fillers and changes then try it. I wish I could send it back. |

| CO&CA come with an amazing sophomore album. This album has an epic storyline to follow while you're rockin' out to Claudio's catchy tunes. The guitar work on this release compliments the vocals alot better then on SSTB. There isn't a single bad song on this entire CD, and I haven't been able to get any of them out of my head. I've been listening to this CD non-stop since the day it came out and I still haven't got sick of it. Buy this, get out your D&D and rock! |

| i like bands such as everytime i die, thrice, death by stereo etc. so why the fuck do i find myself listening to coheed? ever since i heard their first album, i thought it was the most shittiest album ever made, i couldnt stand the signers voice. then a year later i listened to their new song "the crowing" and since then i realized that they improved alot on their lyrics and music. im really digging this album now. the lyrics are great, the music is great but it will take time for me to adust to the singers voice. im kinda looking forward on seeing them perform in St. Petes this Nov. along with thursday and the best band ever...thrice. |
