Very good screamo, brutal and beautiful. I especially like the slower parts of the disc, as that's when Alexisonfire truly shines. The lyrics are rad. Frustrated and pissed off, just like they need to be. I don't normally like this kind of music, but this is delicious. PICK IT UP, BITCHES!

I heard about this band from my friend's trendy little brother, but its a great CD. The singing is right up my alley, and the harmony laiden guitars really turn my crank.

amazing screamo, great melodies throughout the album. the screaming is somewhere between brandon from bleeding through and jake from converge. musically, the band is nothing like those two bands. great album, lyrics that make no sense what so ever but fit the songs great. but this and watch out!

good band. im not incredibly talented with knowing/understanding guitar parts.... but it seems to me that their guitar parts are really simple and easy.... and im not saying thats bad... but when you can turn those simple parts into good music.... then youve done something really awesome... such as alexisonfire. this band also sells a toothbrush.... that beats all merch ever made.

I'm always skeptical about new hardcore/metalcore stuff cause alot of it is really starting to sound the same these days. Alexisonfire definately stands apart though. Excellant musicianship, ripping guitars, pounding drums and bass fill this album from start to finsih. Would of liked to have heard a bit more singing rather then yelling, but one hell of a band nonetheless. new album is due out soon from these guys and i just hope its as good as this one.

I picked up this cd on a recommendation, and give props to the guy who did so. Tempo changes are abound, the guitars are sensational, and it's got the dual sing/scream thing. These guys are like From Autumn To Ashes' hyperactive little brother, only with a better singing voice. THeir singer draws a slight comparison to Cedric of Mars Volta, and their screamer sounds like he's about to lose his vocal cords on a couple tracks. With all that aside, it's quite a solid record. The rhythm section is tight, the guitars are frenetic, the vocals are excellent. And that usually isn't bad for a band's first release. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This is way different from any music i've ever heard. I hate the singing but i love the guitars, they're really experimental. I would suggest listening to it before you buy it, it's different than you think.

This is the good stuff, hell yeah! This record is full of awesome guitar work, fantastic breakdowns and some weird timing all brought together with some great screaming and the occasional bit of singing chucked in for good measure (and it is good). Go to these guys web site and take a look at the videos also, cool beans. I would definately say if your into the faster end of metal and a bit of melodic HC I would go out and buy this album, it positively rocks!!!
