| Bouncing Souls - Anchors Aweigh |
The Bouncing Souls are back with a record that has taken them nearly seven years to complete! Well, not literally seven years, but “Anchors Aweigh” is definitely the end result of nearly a decade of musical evolution, refinement and growth.
“Anchors Aweigh” finds the Bouncing Souls at the pinnacle of their craft. The band’s driving, anthemic punk rock style comes tearing through on every single track of the record. Songs like “Kids and Heroes,” “New Day,” and “Anchors Aweigh” display not only the talent of this band posesses, but the pure enthusiasm they have for the making punk rock music of the higest order!

| Incredible. I just got this CD and at first, it was mediocre. It seemed, too typical. But the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. The best songs are New Day and Kids and Heroes. All Souls fans should have this. Also get the DVD. |

| Blah.
Well, it's an OK CD, pretty much exactly what I expected. Don't expect and new Bouncing Souls ground to be shattered with this one. It's kinda comparative to Alkaline Trio's new CD; it's more of the same good stuff, but that's only what's expected.
Fans should pick up the album, but if you want a better Bouncing Souls experience, try "How I Spent My Summer Vacation." |

| This traditional Bouncing Souls. Anthemic punk rock. Their lyrics are extremely powerful in all of the songs, but the songs are faster than I'd prefer, more hardcore than I'd like. Nonetheless, you should buy it- even if you don't like fast songs, once you learn the lyrics, they don't seem as fast.

| Another singalong frenzy from the Souls. In my opinion anyway - not as good as "How I Spent..." but better than "Hopeless Romantic." Not the best album that's been released this year, but if you're a fan of the Jersey band I see no reason not to pick this up. |
