Irvine California's own Thrice recently recorded their Island Records debut, The Artist in the Ambulance, helmed by producer Brian McTernan (Snapcase, Converge) at Salad Days studios in Washington DC. With other top talent such as engineer Michael Barbiero (Metallica) and Andy Wallace (Nirvana) solidifying the final mix, the album promises a sonic quality second to none. Features the first single "All That's Left."

Thrice will be donating a portion of retail sales of "The Artist in the Ambulance" to the Syrentha J. Savio Endowment. The Syrentha J. Savio Endowment (SSE) provides chemotherapy and other medication for individuals who cannot afford the expense. Since its formation in February of 2002, the endowment has raised almost $50,000 through National Races for the Cure, charity concerts, auctions, and dinners.

I don't care what anyone says about this CD. 'The Artist in the Ambulance' has been my new favorite CD since the moment I put it in the CD player. I'm sure people will complain that it isn't 'The Illusion of Safety 2' and that they got more melodic, but it's a good thing in my opinion. They're just expanding on the sound of their last CD and making it even more amazing. The guitar work on every song is mind blowing, as always. But don't think that just because Thrice got melodic they can't rock anymore, because there's just as much screaming and double bass on this mofo. I really like the title track the most actually, it seems they based that song more around the vocals then the guitar. The packaging of this CD is tight work as well. Thrice are musical masterminds and they bend genres so well, it's just pure insanity. Perfect CD.

first i would like to say that thrice is the greatest and most tallented band ive ever heard...i think all their previous cd were better than 5of5...this cd gets strait 5of5why? this cd dosnt have as much edge as identity or illusion...its more melodic and less hardcore...but dont get me wrong...this one wont leave my cd player for months...get it, its not suckie or dissapointing like the new afi cd was...
