In a time when punk is begining to be defined as either "spikey hair drunk punk" or the pop punk emo crap on your radio, Leftover Crack has reminded me why I love punk rock. This album is definetly a step above Medicore and I would put it on the same level as No Gods, No Managers. The politics of this album are defiently better then the usual whining and complaing of most other political punk. They not only point out the problems with world trade, police brutality and the monopoly of the media, but they offer some remidies (direct action and a boycot of all the products of world trade, kill cops and stop listening/buying form clear channel). If you want to hear a punk album from a band that actually figured out that there is more to punk then your hair, attitude, and clothes, give the good leftover crizzack a listen. If not then stop calling yourself punk and choke on the barrel of a shotgun.

This is a really good record. Also it feels like a complete record, not just a bunch of songs randomly put together. The songs go into eachother with intros and outros and stuff and that's cool. Also in the end they have this long fucking instrumental thing where they play all the intros and stuff all over again and that's also kinda cool, makes the album feel like "an album", if you know what i mean. Guest artists include "World Inferno Friendship Society" and the dudes of anti-flag on "Burn Them Prisons". However some songs tend to get a bit boring, or maybe i'm just sick of them. Like "One Dead Cop", and the slow ballad ones, new version of "Rock the 40 Oz" isn't that good either and the Operation M.O.V.E is all death metal or something.

Back and better than ever, there isn't a single bad song on this cd, I've been a fan since way back in the day and I believe this tops mediocre generica and is right up there with the cv days no gods/no managers. 5 Stars all the way.

| Leftover Crack will always be the shit, but this is ridiculous. I was expecting the same angry satano-political ska punk as mediocre generica and this was just kind of whiny metal. The lyrics are amazing but for fucks sake theres violins. the message is the same, but i feel like now that they have everyones attention their getting kinda artsy.definitely check out mediocre generica first if this is your first. oh well, they are still an amazing band and im still gonna see em dec 14 in atl!! | James, Rancid can kiss my ass and so can you. If you pick a shit ass corporate punk band like Rancid over Leftover Crack you don't deserve to listen to them anyway. When Leftover Crack wanted to name their album "Shoot kids at School" Rancid and their label whinned like a bunch of corporate pussies. FUCK RANCID! Next time they fall back down i hope everyone kicks them.
Anyway, this album is definetly a step up from Mediocre Generica...and that album kicked ass. The lyrics will blow you away and for the context they're put in...they somehow give you hope that someday this country won't be so fucked up.

a step up from 01's mediocre genericA, this cd is a very well presented manifesto; i mean these fellas know exactly what theyre talkin about in that they can back up what they say, and aren't just another holow, carbon-copy political- punk band; the boys of LOC grab your ears and shine a whole new, intriguing light on the world around us, for that i give them many an accolade. But hey, so what if rancid has a video and a song or so on the radio, and are on a semi-major label these days, (in reference to song #1, clear channel fuck off!)rancid sits atop, and shall remain so, of my favorite band list, even if they did "sell out" (sheesh, god forbid they get notariety beyond epitaph/hellcat...)but back to "fuck world trade" one of my favorite songs is "soon well be dead" a nice change, gang control, rock the 40 oz ( a classic) stzza's evil, high pitched growl tends to get old after a while, but hey, no biggie. lookin forward to seein these guys again in september...roar!!!
