Rather than rummaging around under the sofa cushions for forgotten remnants, or swimming through the empties of the band's massive output, Taang went to the source for material for this best of collection, compiling four different records (all of which are out of print) onto one CD. You get forty songs featuring the material from the Learning to Scream 7-inch, along with the material from their Kings of Punk, Record Collectors Are Pretentious Assholes, and Pick Your King LPs. Packaged intensely with never released photos and all the lyrics to the songs within.

Just buy it. I got into this band about 15 years ago, still love them. This is a nice cheap way to get a few releases at once, if you don't care too much for original artwork, or if you have the originals on vinyl.

This is just the Learning to Scream 7", Pick your king, Kings of punk, and Record collectors are pretentious assholes all put onto a cd. It's worth picking up, especially if you haven't ever listened to Poison Idea before (if you haven't, you really should). These guys deserve a lot more credit than they get.

When you get interested in a band like POISON IDEA who have already put out a bunch of records, the best way to go is with a "Best of..." album. This CD has 40 tracks on it and the songs are top notch punk rock songs. I recommend you go watch the awesome documentary DVD AMERICAN HARDCORE. That movie got me intrigued with Poison Idea.

| this is fucking ridiculous. i love it all so much. its hard to get old too b/c of the differences between pick your king and kings of punk and learning to scream. there arent drastic changes in style that your thinking to your self "what the fuck".while one can say that Feel the Darkness is thier best album, all of these have their advantages.Kings of punks is the hardest while pick your kings is th rawest(not in an unlistenable way) record collects does show a lot of similarity to pick your king and the few learing to scream songs are fresh (not to sound like a "gangsta"). also you can hear the differnce in riffs on that one b/c Pig Champion didnt play on that one. my only complaint is they didnt record the albums in chronological order, but i guess the way they did this gave it a good flow. this shit is so good im considering buying these individually.
all of the lyrics come with this unlike other best of comps
Simply said, this is staple for anyone listeing to Hardcore/punk and you need this!!!!!!!

This CD contains 4 complete records by the North-Western kings of rude hardcore. You know what to expect here: unpolished hardcore punk as effective as a kick in the groin. Dirty, fast, heavy, angry as fuck anthems from when 'hardcore' meant punk and not metal, pop or indie-rock.

This is a good CD, but it's not a "Best Of." Instead, its four albums on one CD. If you don't have any of these albums, pick it up so you don't have to spend a bunch of money for the albums individually. There are some good songs on this, but none of it is as awesome as their "Feel The Darkness" album.
