The heavily anticipated first studio album in seven years, and a brilliant and broody follow-up to last year's ripping split EP with HOT WATER MUSIC. Fourteen killer tracks of no-frills punk and modern pop featuring the whisky and tobacco strained voice of FRANKIE STUBBS, along with the band's patented dual guitar attack. Intense, melodic and melancholically hard

A very interesting recording. Leatherface is a name that is well known, and this album is proof of their storied reputation. Their brand of melodic punk rock touches emotions and feelings at every turn. Pristine melodies are some what buried in the deep rasp of Mr. Stubbs on this recording. Urgency and passion is evident in the presentation and execution of these melodic stories, feeling as though a collective effort emotion is expressed. In a world of punk rock that is increasingly hollow and lifeless, it is refreshing to look back to groups with true passion and love of music. This album was an incredible new start for Leatherface, and while it may have personally taken me some time to truly appreciate this band, it is as fresh eight years later as it was the day is was released. Mature fans who still believe rocknroll can be passionate, emotional and straight from the heart, Leatherface is the band for you. This album and the split with Hot Water Music (which feature amazing songs like 'andy' and 'wax lyrical') are great starting points for new fans. As you progress do not neglect their earlier efforts reissued on british label Fire Records. Leatherface is a 'must listen to' band.

This is interesting! I don't know what to think, Frankie's voice is cool yet I feel like I'm straining to hear it half the time and I wish you could understand it alittle. It's most defenitely original, and I see alot of hope in a band like this. They remain small (for a very selective audience), and their lyrics are...alright. Just that. Not amazing but better then others. The intro to Sour Grapes alone gets me excited. EVO POP is amazing. The cover of True Colours is cool, Watching You Sleep is interesting also. Give it a try, and put some selection in your collection.

This is really good. After listening to four of their albums I have to say, the older Frankie Stubbs gets...the better his voice gets. "Horsebox" and "Dog Disco" are my favorite Leatherface albums. Don't get me wrong, I like the earlier stuff too. An amazing cover of "True Colors" by Frankie actually gives the song it's true meaning. Leatherface is an amazing band. Thank goodness BYO puts out their new music and has reissued some of their older stuff too! I can't wait for a new record.
