No Use For A Name's fourth FAT album is so good, the only thing they could think to call it is More Betterness. Actually, they came up with about a hundred other titles, but they were stinky. The songs on this album are amazing!

| This album is pretty cool. No use for a name is good. tight drums and clean vocals. I wish hard rock bottom didnt suck so bad. |

| Actually, I already had this album. I burned it, and I thought it was about time to buy the cd.
It's one of my favorite albums. Me and a friend used to listen to this every night we got home from a party. We would just sit and listen to it, while eating chips and almost falling asllep, and we would talk about its greatness. Then we'd fall asleep, probably around "Saddest Song".
Over the years, this album has become a nostalgic subject for me. Every time I listen to this album, I think of those good times we once shared.
There's so many beautiful songs on this album, like "Not Your Saviour", "Room 19" and "Sleeping In".

| Easily one of the best pop punk records ever written. Where I live, no one liked this record. They said it was too whimpy, too melodic, not No Use anymore. I beg to differ on their behalf, as this is DEFINATELY No Use playing every note throughout More Betterness!. The guitars are a bit happier than they've ever been and Tony got better at singing, but if you for one second think to yourself "No Use totally sold out! I'm not buying this cd!", question yourself. Nothing on this record is glossy, overproduced with special effects, none of that major label MTV crap that's used to market and sell records. Maybe Tony got a little less depressed on this record, maybe No Use as a whole got happier...or maybe they didn't. I don't think so. Half of this record is the darker yet still catchy Making Friends and Leche con Carne sound, but the other half is pop punk like I've never heard before. It's as good as Descendents pop punk. It's real. The melodies are amazing. Usually melodic punk bores me, as I don't really hear much effort in the singer's voice, but Tony's passion is obvious when you hear the tunes he sings on the opener "Not Your Savior", the following track "Life Size Mirror", "Always Carrie", and virtually every other track. The singing on this record actually gives me the shivers at some parts. It's really that good.
Some people think this album is not as political/opinionated as NUFAN's older stuff, but I again beg to differ. Yes, it's not outrightly as political/opinionated, but more tongue-in-cheekly written (I probably didn't use that saying right...). Everything from religion (Chasing Rainbows), relationships (Lies Can't Pretend), society (Saddest Song), it's all here.
The only song I didn't like was the acoustic mid-album track "Let It Slide". It's not horrible, but it's far from great. The lyrics are weak and the song just has no body to it.
I find this to be No Use's finest work to date. A stunning pop punk record written through the eyes of a child (hence the title, that's something a child would say). The lyric "we'll never see the child that was forced to be a man" (off "Why Doesn't Anybody Like Me?"), sums up More Betterness!, on that point. On every other No Use release, there's been a hint of child-like playfulness in Tony's lyrics, but no one could quite figure out what it was. The childhood he never really had comes out in full bloom here, and it's something truly great to hear in the 14 fast-paced melodic punk songs that make up this unforgettable More Betterness! album. At first glance it may seem like this is nothing more than a whimpy emotional punk effort from the boys No Use, but I assure you there's years of inspiration lying beneath the melody. This is real music. |

| EXCELLENT CD..... This is one of the best cds i have.... they have optimized levels of moving and catchy vocals, and guitar riffs that pull you into the music..... its a bit different from their older songs, but they are still really really great at what they do. I have listened to this cd over and over and its still smoother, and catchier than ever. UM...yeah...ok.... |

| This was my first No use for a name CD purchase and not to be my last! It is a really good cd, the only thing that lets it down is a dodgy pogue christmas cover song, but hey just skip it! |

| i really like this album..its way better than hard rock bottom but along the same sort of lines. very melodic, if you prefer more harder punk get incognito coz thats really good as well just different. but this is good. room 19, why doesn't anybody like me?, fairytale of new york. |

| this cd is ok. i wood say that it is the best from no use for a name tho. my friend got the no use for a name "making friends" cd and he said that it is very bad and wood not recommend it. he wishes that he had bought the more betterness cd if he was gunna get a no use for a name. its a pretty good cd but i got tired of it within a week. it is also pretty slow and there is not very much energy in it. i wood have to say its more emo than punk but if u like it then go buy it i woodnt really recommend it.

| This is NUFAN's finest work so far. This record is melodic without being pop, somewhat mellow but still punk, and simply excellent all around (with the exception of a God-awful cover of The Pogues' "Fairytale Of New York". Worth every penny. (Fans of the Alkaline Trio would probably like these guys.) |
