| Promise Ring - Very Emergency |
The awaited third album from Milwaukee's highest punk nobility burns forth with a combination of upper-register emo, grand champion punk rock, and stunningly regal pop sounds. Sophisticated, uncompromised and joyously produced by maestro J. Robbins at D.C.'s infamous Inner Ear.

| always loved this band, they were great live. this album is a lot different then the first two, more poppy, better production (less emo). If it was a deep dish pizza it would be a meaty legend. Many hit tracks on here. A standout release. |

| Definitely Promise Ring's best album. I like the fact that it is extremely poppy and catchy. The second best album is Wood/Water which is very different from the rest of their stuff. My favorite track is Jersey Shore, but every other song is just as good. This is a must for both fans new and old. |

| it appears that this release has become hated amongst 'promise ring' fans. i would not consider this to be their greatest release, but i feel that 'promise ring' has become a different band on 'very emergency' --a straight-forward pop band. if you expect the same 'promise ring' that you've heard in their previous releases, then you'll be very disappointed. buy this expecting a sickeningly-sweet pop band.
although i prefer previous promise ring releases, i found that this is a light-hearted, catchy, care-free pop album. |

| I totally love this album. Very fun, poppy [but good poppy], and catchy. I found myself singing the lyrics from this CD often, especially at inappropriate times. Its a sing-along sort of CD, and its just sooo good. These guys are coming here on the Plea For Peace tour and I cant wait to see them! |

| Somewhat of a departure from The Promise Rings usual sound. They have added numerous pop elements. But they manage to maintain that characteristic "care-free" sound and playful lyrics. A great album and a positive step for TPR. |
