I think this is one of their best albums. Sorta feels like two different albums, as the the first 6 songs are fast, and the last three are slow. Either way a classic, and if you are a fan you probably already own it.

Fucking crucial, why the hell don't you own this already? The best Black Flag album hands down (Damaged comes damn close), it's a rager and it's heavy as ape shit, cop it dumb ass. If you don't know what Black Flag sounds like than you obviously don't listen to any music at fucking all! Put down that Good Charlotte shit and hear something that is crucial, something that will lead you away from the path of shitty bands, again... fucking crucial!

The title track "My War" is easily one of my favorite Black Flag songs ever. I love listening to this album, because it reminds me of the intensity & aggression punk rock use to have. If you are into if you are into foot-tapping/fist-pumping rock and roll, you will want to own this CD. Beautiful artwork also!

Well, it's Black Flag. What more do you want? But really, not the best of the Flag albums. This is one of the few instances where the shitty sound quality is a detrement to the music. You really need to listen to this one on headphones to hear a lot of the crazy shit going on. Plus, it kind of falls off toward the end. The album documents the awkward transition between the "classic" Flag, and the later, slower Flag stuff, which I like just as much. Though, the song "My War" has to be my favorite Flag song ever! If you're new to Black Flag, save this album for when you get hooked and must complete your collection!

weird. didn't know they slowed down this early on, but I still liked it. great agony music, if that makes sense. people blame Henry Rollins for making Black Flag slow and experimental, but the guitarist Greg Ginn wrote most of the music and lyrics, so blame him.

probably my second favorite black flag record, right behind Damaged. they still had that ugly punk sound, but you could tell they were headed into experimental territory. not a bad song on this release, i suggest you buy it.
