Combining the eleven tracks from the Chaos Is Me LP with the ten tracks from the Dance Tonight! Revolution Tomorrow! 10", this Orchid CD will be a definite crowd pleaser. This is ok. I know it is very original for its time, but I am not too impressed. I guess its because I started listening to Orchid a little late. I have been listening to Saetia, Hot Cross and Blood Brothers for years now, this cd probably would be a lot better years ago. I like Gatefold better than this album, it has a more mature sound.

The best screaming band to date is probably NUMBER 12 LOOKS LIKE YOU. It is a mixture of screamo, grindcore and mathrock with amazing guitar solos. I don't think Interpunk sells them yet, get em.

12/7/2006 by Robert from Brunswick, OH Rating:
I had always read about this band but could never find their stuff years ago. Now I wish I could have seen them live. Intelligent songwriting with a soundtrack that goes between dark and moody to a Locust-like blitzkrieg of grind/thrash. Dare I say original screamo ?

10/31/2006 by Ryan from Abbotsford, BC Canada Rating:
Well, I think everything good about this band has already been expressed in previous reviews. Hard, chaotic riffs are constant throughout these 21 songs. These are probably Orchid's best tracks, so I would buy this before any of their other releases. These guys are credited by many to be the pioneers of the "screamo" sound, so if you're new to the genre, this album would be an essential addition to your collection.

9/13/2006 by Randy from Longview, TX Rating:
This a good place to start if you are looking to get into Orchid. It has tons of pop hits, catchy hooks, and stuff to keep you guessing. Plus the packaging and CD case are really awesome.

2/3/2006 by Steve from Pittsburgh, PA Rating:
WOW! These guys are crazier than I thought they'd be, and I mean that in the best possible way. This shit is brutal and melodic, but not that melodic. So if you like the very chaotic and artistic side of hardcore than Orchid is the band for you.

9/5/2005 by Deniz from Wayne, NE Rating:
The original, and still probably the best, noise band of all time. This has two of their best full albums on one CD. If you're into noisecore/experimental grind, you need this CD. Period.

6/26/2005 by Kathleen from Warwick, NY Rating:
Damn. Orchid is probably the best band ever. The lyrics on this album are really intellegent and the riffs are really really good. If you like stuff like Saetia, Hot Cross, or You and I definatly get this.

1/25/2005 by Brian from Charlotte, NC Rating:
Amazing!I used to be a bigger fan of the Gatefold LP, but this one grows on you. The songs are shorter and more chaotic. But the riffs...damn..the riffs are sick. Get it. Now.

1/19/2005 by Alex from Bettendorf, IA Rating:
