Transplants

(Members of Rancid, Blink 182)

Hellcat 80448

Released on October 22, 2002

$11.25

The transplants are Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Travis Barker (Blink182) and Rob Aston. Their sound is a highly original mix of stylistic influences that never strays too far from the home base of Punk Rock while managing to incorporate such disparate elements as blistering Hardcore Guitars, Hip-Hop and Dance Hall beats, Rap rhymes, and an overall un-wavering dedication to the spirit of Rock ā€˜Nā€™ Roll. Available on CD and double LP!!

Ya know what? I love Rancid, love Tim....but this is garbage. I dunno, its pretty weak....Skinhead Rob just yells and does the whole "rap kinda thing" and it just doesnt mesh right with Tim...please, we need more Rancid!!

I know this review is way late. I had this album when it first came out and then I lost it so needless to say it is worth buying twice. It's the best Transplants CD. Way Better than Haunted Cities. This CD is still good years later. good for drinking, good for dancing, good for fighting, okay for fucking, sometimes Tim's vocals will make you lose your wood. but I like the CD.

This was an awesome cd!!! I mean putting Tim Armstrong and Travis Barker together was one of the best moves anyone has ever done. But if you are expecting Rancid, you'll be sadly mistaken. I wouldn't say its as good as rancid, but hey, its Tim Armstrong!!! You can't go wrong!! Not enough of Tim singing though...

First off, you need to be open-minded when you first start listening to the transplants because their are partial rap songs. Dont expect it to be hardcore punk or like most rancid albums because you wont get that. It is diverse and i enjoy Robs vocals in most tracks. overall i give it a five because it caught me off guard with some of their songs like "Dj," and "Sad But True." Thus making Tim, Rob, and Travis a great trio.

BOOGGIE BOOGGIE!!! If I wanted to listen to a rap cd I would have listened to mtv. But what else can I expect when their drummer has his own fucking show on mtv.

God Aweful. just terrible. When you put lyrics like "i still got the most money" into punk you officially get the sellout stamp. congratulations. I hate the transplants. More than a quarter of this is rap. like the rob guys lyrics.

this cd gets too much stick for how good it is. no track sucks and loads of songs, like 'Tall cans in the air' and 'one seventeen' are tracks you can listen to over and over again. Tim Armstrong is a f**king genius, but the drumming is a bit simple seeing as of what Travis is capable of, still it is worth buying.

"Diamonds and Guns" & "Tall cans in the air" kick fucking ass. Great to listen to when your drunk. All the other songs suck dick.

this is the best cd i ever bought. it is a steal at $13, i would gladly pay $40 for it. The only problem i have it is that the drums arent what Travis Barker is capable of and sound a little too much like blink 182. The songs as a whole, however, sound nothing like blink and are some of the best songs ive heared.

This cd sucks ass. The only reason I got this cd was because of Tim of rancid and thought that it might be worth getting. I was way wrong. Big mistake on my part.
