Oberst’s mainstay production team of Mike Mogis and Andy Lemaster (Now It’s Overhead) lend performances on the record along with other noteworthy Omaha musicians including Todd and Clark Baechle (The Faint), Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor (Azure Ray), Matt Maginn and Clint Schnase (Cursive), and Jiha Lee (The Good Life).

| I like this just a little bit better than "Fevers and Mirrors" but IMO, this is Bright Eyes best record. I still can't believe Interpunk had this on 12", pick it up. |

| this record is on 2 lps and is gatefold. it's a great record and has some really awesome music. the lyrics are excellent. |

| Absolutely amazing album. It has an amazing live sound, very unproduced an original. At times a very stripped sound, and at times huge with a full orchestra... What a great album! |
