Thrice - The Illusion Of Safety

The Illusion Of Safety

Sub City 21

Thrice is an anomaly; a sublime conglomeration of kick-ass, blood-pumping music, combined with the lyrical phrasing of a literary wordsmith. Their powerful, driving beats and buzz-saw riffs will literally leave you covered with goose bumps, and their melodic hooks and pensive lyrics will dare you to look inward.

what the fuck is this gay shit, i thought this would be good, its not, it drones on constantly like shit coming out of my ears with faggot ass 14 year old girl shit. i think this band was too busy getting drunk giving eachother handjobs before anyone was like 'hey guys, i cant play this guitar for a shit, we cant be seriously be putting this album out' they must like being emos and torturing themselves because this album tortured my ears

3/23/2007 by Gert Erik from Aurland, Norway Rating:
I have to say, this is one of the best albums i have ever heard! Powerful music with tight, catchy riffs! Theres not a single deadlock in this album! Buy this, and you´ll be hooked up! Artist In The Ambulance is great too! Buy both!

4/29/2006 by Simon from Quebec City, PQ Canada Rating:
Simply their best album ever!!! A lot better than Vheissu!! It,s more punk than the new Thrice sound. Lots of energy, great lyrics and a lot of fun!

3/3/2005 by John from Swansea, United Kingdom Rating:
Pretty good, thrice truely are excellant musicians. Great riffage all round on all instruments, the only reason i didnt give it five is because some of the softer singing isn't my kind of thing.

Note:this is five star material to people who do

xXx

This is an AWESOME album. My favorite Thrice cd without a doubt. Really awesome guitar work. My favorite songs on it are 'Trust' which is one of the more mellow ones I guess, and 'The Red Death', which is a bit heavier. All great. I recomend this.

7/8/2004 by Ashley from Brunswick, GA Rating:
I actually got this CD along while back ago, but just now am deciding to comment on it. This CD is a really good CD, but I think that Thrice's newer release, The Artist in the Ambulance is actually better and I most of the time always enjoy the older CDs from any band. Don't get me wrong though. This is an exellent CD and well worth your money. A purchase I am glad that I made.

hmm.. don't really know why i ordered this one... not that great at all.. Artist In The Ambulance is a little bit harder..and better.. i can imagine that they have allot of fans n stuff.. but their music sounds very simplistic and not that original.. I saw them together with Vaux...well.. Vaux made the evening acceptable..

10/23/2003 by Sean from Wallington, NJ Rating:
I own all 3 thrice cd's and I must say I enjoyed this one the most. This cd is very fast and melodic while being heavy and hardcore, every song sounds different. Same goes with the excellent guitar work, there are tons of great guitar riffs on this cd. To awake and avenge the dead is my favorite song by far, but each one is unique.

9/1/2003 by Kassia from Kamloops, BC Canada Rating:
This cd is AMAZING! You MUST get it! NOW! Kill Me Quickly and Deadbolt are sooo good! Same with every other song actually! The guitar work on here is awesome! I just got into Thrice not too long ago, and I can't believe how amazing they are! This cd is by far one of the better cd's I own, and you will think so too! SO GET IT! DON'T WASTE ANYMORE TIME! Also, if you like these guys, check out Arkham. They're real good too!
