Decent punk rock and a little hardcore. Not as hard and fast overall as Operation Phoenix, but I think it has better songs. I think Libertine is one of the better punk-rock songs I've heard and Pisces/Almost Home is another great song. But since both of those are on their fantastic live disc, Remain in Memory, "Cheyenne" is really the only new Good Riddance song for me from this album. Maybe I spoiled myself by starting with Remain In Memory. That album is hard to beat. If you're more of a fan of punk-rock (emphasis on rock over punk) then you will probably like it. If you're looking for fast punk and hardcore, you're better off somewhere else.

Not too great , my fault for buying this malarky , hahahaha!!!! Anyway , don't try this and don't listen to these other fools who try to tell you to check out "Ballads" either. The best GR cd has gots ta be Comprehensive guide to modern rebellion or something like that. Check it , yeah!!!!!

One of the greatest, melodic hardcore bands today. Good Riddance combines great vocals with a screeching axe. I love this record and this band.

This is a kickass album. Its my first GR cd, and I'm impressed. Every song is good, except year of the rat with gobbles cock. If you like melodic harcore or that kinda stuff, you won't be disappointed.

This CD has gone through many different stages with me. At first, I was excited to get this CD because I have been a fan of Good Riddance for so long and this album brought a new drummer (from Kid Dynamite!!!), so I figured it must fucking rock. It took me a real long time to get into this. Good Riddance, to me, as had a hard time progessing to a great level after "Comprehensive Guide..". But, after listening to this CD over the course of a year, I have found a new respect for Good Riddance. Check it out and give it a chance!

I have been a fan of GR for a long time and I would definately have to say this is their best. Dave from Kid Dynamite is a good addition to this band on drums. Russ's singing and songwriting have improved alot and it shows on this cd. Great stuff

better than ballads from the revolution? lordy, and they said it couldn't be done! symptoms of a leveling spirit is definitely more hardcore and politically motivated than most of their work to date and yet oh-so-catchy... lyrics quite inspirational, great melody. this work is quite simply sheer genius, buy it today before its too late... oh yeah, its enhanced w/vid for "one for the braves"... very nice, very nice indeed

Does not get much better than this. They add Dave from Kid Dynamite on drums and sound as good as they ever have. I don't think Russ has written a bad song ever. Every single song absolutely rips in vintage GR style. Maybe the best band around right now. This is a 5 ++++.
