a review of the ramones seems pretty unnecessary at this point in punk rock history but for anyone who is debating whether to pick up this cd: here ya go. the ramones play great pop-punk that is always fun and sometimes just downright silly. ramones mania compiles 28 of their best songs. unless yr a completist or a ramones freak, i really think this would fill that missing hole in yr music collection where the ramones should go. it has every song you could ever want by them, plus some you may have never heard, or just simply overlooked. the ramones are like fiber. necessary for a balanced punk rock diet.

Great cd just because it has almost all the Ramones classics, except for "Spiderman", "53rd & 3rd", "R-A-M-O-N-E-S" and "Pet Sematary" and a couple others. It's also kinda lost for most Ramones fans (about seventy minutes) who are used to thirty minute albums because we have such short attention spans. But definately worth buying cuz the Ramones kick ass.

The Ramones are obviously a very good band. If it wasn't for them, punk rock as we know it would be way different. The only thing I don't like about this cd is it has some of their later stuff which isn't as good. If you want a good introduction to ALL of the Ramones music, then get this or the anthology.

Wow. This is an excellent CD of fast, fun old-school punk at its best. Sure, every band and their cousin's best friend's sister has covered these songs, but the originals are still awesome. I like the remastered edition of "Rock 'N Roll High School" with louder guitars. It makes a great party album. This is 30 tracks of fun, exuberant rock that really spotlights the band's best work and shows how much influence these guys have had. We'll miss 'ya, Joey.
