I love this cd. Two best songs on here are "First of the Last Calls" and "Real World." Bob Mould's voice is without a doubt one of the best in rock. But you probably already knew that.

Before Zen Arcade came out in the 80s, there was this and it wasn't a bad album. It's basically a short CD (18 minutes long) so it's like a Mini LP. it's a lot like the other SST recordings. get this with any other Du album. very good.

This is an amaizng EP. The solo on "First of the Last Calls" is excellent and songs like "Diane" and "It's Not Funny Anymore" are just plain incredible. The only boring track on this disc is "Out on a Limb" but it does not make this album any less enjoyable.

Husker Du somehow manages to sound totally pissed off but poppy at the same time. Good songwriting and solid, wild vocals. I really like the songs criticising punk orthodoxy (both "Real World" and "It's Not Funny Anymore") and "Diane" is incredible. ...also, the harmonics that Bob Mould utilizes are damn cool....it's a definite change for the better for anyone who's sick of current punk and hasn't heard some of the weird variations in punk rock that were happening in the mid 1980s.
