First album and by God is this one awesome. Good record to introduce themselves aswell as introducing this band to others. Most "punk" sounding album of the others, if your into punk more than hardcore/metal pick this up.

2/4/2006 by Kyle from Robinson, TX Rating:
If you like hardcore, then you know who this band is. And this album is by far their best. Their new stuff's good too (well, at least the stuff before "Death For Life") but this is just top notch. Everything about this is amazing.

3/17/2005 by Chelsea from West Des Moines, IA Rating:
My name isn't Chelsea, it's Patrick. This is my wife's account and she ordered this cd for me for Christmas.I love this cd.This is one of the best hardcore bands.I prefer their older stuff to the new stuff. The drums are just killer and the guitar work is perfect.Efrem's vocals are top notch. The cd is very raw but just beautiful.I can't go on with out this cd.I already owned it before this, but because this cd is so goddamned good, someone stole it.I would recommend this cd to everyone I know if everyone I know didn't already own it.

11/26/2004 by Michael from Bellingham, WA Rating:
It's not just a clever name! This is the best recording you will ever own. Unfortunately, you'll have to order 2 or 3 copies, because the others will get stolen out of you car...by me.

9/24/2004 by Ryan from Oelwein, IA Rating:
This is a good album, but it has some flaws. Mainly just because it sounds alot less cohesive. The vocals are also really quirky, which isn't really a bad thing. The guitars are also a lot less metal then on the others, almost sound like postpunk at times. This CD has 2 of the best DBS songs ever though, Day in the Sun & Lookin Out for #1.

1/22/2004 by Andie from Sonora, CA Rating:
Since I am on one of those review writing sprees I may as well review this album before the reviewing time expires.

To get to the point, this album owns. It is by far the best Death By Stereo album and possibly one of my very favorite albums of all time. If you are just getting into Death By Stereo, this is a great album to give you an idea of their sound. If you are a fan and don't own this album...buy it! You won't regret it.

12/22/2003 by Scott from Adelaide, Australia Rating:
Whoever it was that said things get better with age was definately right, coz unfortunately, DBS are much better now then they ever were back then in the "if loooks coud kill..." days.

I mean, the album is still very good with some awesome songs, but after i had heard "Into the Valley of death", there was really no comparison. I have both albums, but to me, death by are just so much better now then they were back then.

Still, not bad, and hey, they had to start somewhere, but again, if ur gonna get a DBS album, then i suggest u get one of their latter two, coz they are worth every penny!
