| This is the only Dashboard Confessional CD worth owning. His voice has only gotten more and more pathetic since so if you must get a DC album make it this one.
That aside, let me say that Chris does write amazing music, the only point he falls short on is trying to perform it. Living In Your Letters is definitely the best track on the album, but the title track and Ender Will Save Us All are rather touching as well. The album gets odd at the end when he turns it into something a little "electronica" with This Is A Forgery (which is still a rather good song). The raw recording style of the album and the acoustic ring of the guitar are amazing.
...Now if only he would take some singing lessons, it'd be perfect. 4 stars |

| I was not disapointed with this album, from first listen most of the songs (not all) felt like songs as close to me as any other song i'd heard 100 times before, instantly striking a nerve. Its a very emotional album and this has to be due to the dencity and intelligence of the lyrics, really pulling you into the song and making you think, as the guitaring is quite up-beat and catchy. I would recommend 'The places you have come to fear' as well as this as they are both quality albums and Chris Carrabba has not developed and experimented with the sound of D.C much between 'Swiss Army Romance' and 'the places..' So if you liked what he offered you with that album i'm sure you will like this.

| Well yea this cd is ace..... just some really good songs sung really well, with an acoustic guitar. This album never gets boring, its often in my cd player in my car. |

| This CD is WAAAY better than "Places You Have Come...". Definitely an awesome CD. You have to be in a mellow mood for it, though. This is CD that I always pop in when I want to mellow out and chill. Dashboard definitely isn't one of my favorite artists...but I still think this is an amazing CD. |

| This is a great collection of songs. I would give this album 5 but I don't feel all the tracks work that well together. When I listen to it the tracks seemed to be just stuck together, it has more of a greatest hits or compelation feel to it. The top track's for me are Screaming Infidelties, The Swiss Army Romance, Turpentine Chaser and Ender Will Save Us All. If you are new to Dashboard Confessional like I am I would recommend you to buy this album, it left me wanting to hear more. He also did a great gig in England at the Leeds festival, tell him to come to England more often!!! |

| Fuck. I remember typing out a long review for this album one night, and I sent it in and the damn thing didn't work. I didn't feel like typing it out again, and I don't want to type all that out right now.
It's simple. This is the 2nd best Dashboard album. The best is Places...
Why? Because the production on Places is better than this one. Simple as that. They're basically the same album (this one is just all acoustic though, which is pretty cool), but Places is just much more enjoyable than this album. I think it is worthy of being the first album to get by a new fan though. |
