STOUT, Baltimore USA's hardest, return with their second full-length release, once again flipping the whole concept of heavy hardcore completely on its head!
"Sleep Bitch" is a truly unstoppable mix of raging, fast old-style hardcore, so well-written and immediately classic that it will instantly lodge itself in your mind. The other end of Stout's unique sound is their unbelievably heavy and doom-laden slow edge - witness how the band effortlessly crosses from the upbeat "Emissaries" to the crushing metallic onslaught of "She" (featuring Scott Move).
The crazed lyrical vision of TAD somehow surpasses even the psychotic mood of their debut. Truly one of the most adventurous and unique voices in modern hardcore, his offbeat and war-like delivery is completely fresh and undeniably menacing.
Overall, "Sleep Bitch" is the definition of raw, savage and menacing heavy hardcore, tailor-made to leave a trail of dance floor devastation in its wake!

| Stout are the legends of Baltimore. A throwback to the 90's "tough" hardcore sound, Stout plays mean, rugged, in your face hardcore that is best described as a mix of Black Sabbath and Agnostic Front. Awsome skin-core mixed w/ beatdown which creates a very unique sound.
See them live, they will floor you.
Sleep Bitch starts the album off with a bang, and then the final 2 songs (Intro and Gods Of War) will simply crush you. Those 2 songs live... forget it... World War 3 is erupting.
For those who pine for the days of bands like Fury Of Five and Stigmata... Stout are the final, still active remnants of that tough 90's style. |
