Definetly the best ska release and perhaps even the best CD to ever come out in 2006? Evil Empire delivers Sharp, reflecting lyrics with a big spoon of sarcasm and a musical variety mixing elements from grind, old school ska and reggea, punk rock and hip hop. Cult of Domesticity is most likely the best ska-core song I ever heard and Turn the Gun is the most boosting, uptight and original piece of ska I've heard in ages. Most of the songs on Does This Genocide Make me Look sexy? are rerecordings from the band's hidden EP "Evil Empire Sucks!" (which is almost impossible to find anywhere) but more progressive and a much better sound quality. Evil Empire is on my top ten records of all time and no matter if you like old school ska, Punk Rock or hardcore, this CD is definetly a must-have. If I should mention a band more original and creative from the ska-punk scene I'd have to say Cryptorchid Chipmunk who you'd either love or throw after the thirty first seconds on their latest record. But seriously, buy this shit. It's worth it.

absolutely the most refreshing record i've heard in many many moons. the musicianship is amazing, the lyrics are good. in the vein of crack rock lyrics, but kind of cooler. they have an amazing blend of hip hop, reggae, trashy punk, and ska. buy this fucking record, seriously, you will not be sorry. if you think leftover crack is raw... this is rawesomer. how can you argue with "this routine has got to stop, so bring a gun into your job"

GREAT! but not as good as "Evil Empire Sucks" but since Interpunk doesn't sell that anymore get this. If you like fast angry ska-punk like AAA, LoC and CV then you'll love this.

4/21/2006 by Jack from Mt. Top, PA Rating:
Well to start off, comparing this band to leftover crack or cv would be kind of unfair, because their particular sound, although definetly influenced by loc, is much too original to have them grouped in as a crack rock steady group. This CD is pretty amazing though. Pretty bad ass songwriting. The way they arrange some songs is pretty funny, but that doesn't take away from the music at all. They write some crazy good ska riffs and blend them together with the sounds of ealier hardcore punk. The harcore punk they play would usually be too much for me to handle, but they blend the two toghether so well it doesn't bother me at all! Another great thing is that they are a serious politically angled punk band, put they dont take themselves seroiusly at all (somewhat). They even throw some nice touches of hip-hop elements into a song or two (or three). Definetly for fans of loc, cv, suicide machines, and AAA(especially their ealier stuff).Probably the best ska album of '06 so far. These guys, and one girl, should have a good career ahead of them, that is as long as homeland security doen't off them first.
