The Ashling is ten beautifully written songs with provoking melodies and striking lyrics. This full band acoustic album debuts as Rachel Merchand's first full length. Recruitments for this album include Matt Malpass (¡El Toro!, The Apprentice) at Marigolds & Monsters Studios for production, Doug Van Sloun (Bright Eyes, The Faint) at Studio B for mastering, and several musicians including, Matt Goldman (Copeland, Anberlin) and cellist Jennifer Millis (Charlotte Junior Symphony).
