$12.00

Valencia creates a uniquely infectious blend of guitar-mangled, multi-layered, melodic rock reminiscent of early Saves the Day fused with Thrice and The Movielife. The Impressive musicianship and mature songwriting at the least set them apart from their modern day peers.

Well I had to get around to reviewing this album so I guess I'll do it now. I bought this with the Attracted to Miss album (which is Shane's old band). Anyhow this album is really good. It has a great sound and you won't feel embarassed playing this album really loud and getting into it. The only song on this album that I don't love is the first one and the seventh one is a little cheesy, but other than that this is a great album. This is a good pop punk album for people sick of the (pop)punk-ish stuff coming out these days that gets too much recognition. I could give it a five, but I'll just go four though it is more towards 4 1/2.

This album is decent. That's all I can really say. I am not really into pop-punk at all but this is definately the only pop-punk band I can get into. I can definately see this band blowing up in the next year or two so hop on board the bandwagon now.

I originally bought this CD because of the offer with the pre-order that you get a free t-shirt. After listening to it many times, I tend to really enjoy it. The songs are pretty catchy and the lyrics insightful. They have a sound that is really their own and is hard to describe. It seems that the CD starts off kinda slow with the first 5 songs, but the last 5 are really good. Alot fo the times if I listen to this, I start it on track 5 and play it from their. My favorites would have to be "3,000 miles" and "away we go". Overall, this is a totally decent record from a band which I believe will only get better and bigger.

I was expecting some generic emo crap but I was dead wrong. These guys are insanely talented. The combination of outstanding guitar work with amazing melodic songwriting is fantastic. It's all high energy which it should be but so many bands are toning it down these days. It's hard to compare these guys to anyone I'd call them a mix of newer Ataris, Hangnail, and Amber Pacific.

10/26/2005 by Aaron from Hayden, ID Rating:
Boy, is this worth picking up. Especially if you like it energetic, creative, and in your face!!! If I hadn't mostly pre-ordered this for the free t-shirt, I would've definitely ended up with it eventually...its that good!!! ROCK ROCK ROCK, the way it should be!!!

10/26/2005 by Chris from Bountiful, UT Rating:
Out of all the Emo/Power-Pop Punk bands out there these days that totally suck ass, these guys dont! Infact, they fucking kick ass. Imagine if Fall Out Boys vaginitis was cured and they grew a pair, they might be as good as Valencia. What makes this cd so good is that it doesn't sound like it was cut straight from a cookie-cutter pan, there is some real raw energy that really makes this cd blow me away. The only downside is that interpunk sent me the wrong size shirt. If you like Emo Punk then get this. Valencia, good job boys hope to see you in SLC soon!
