::Biography::
In the early summer of 2003 Olivier Albert (Bass) and Jean-Pierre Mottin (Guitar) started talking about forming a band where both of their influences could converge to create a unique hardcore/chaotic meal sound. Both Olivier and Jean-Pierre already had a very considerable amount of experience in playing in a band dynamic, Olivier has played in Orange Incident, Suffering, and Isola; while Jean-Pierre has been in One More Attempt, Death Before Disco, Kill My Drummer and Negate. After several conversations over the months following that summer, they decided to create JESUSPROJECT.
Their initial sound could be likened to atmospherical post-rock with a few pinches of technical hardcore. However, their sound began to rapidly evolve over the next year or so as they picked up two new members finally completing their four piece line up - Gregory Van Damme on Vocals (Beyond My Dreams) and Gil Chevign on Drums (ex-Coverhate and ex-Groundfish). The band and its sound progressed in to a much more chaotic/hardcore machine fueled by influences such as Every time I Die, Converge, Jr Ewing, Blood Brothers, The Mars Volta, Envy, and Neurosis.
During the following autumn, they finished fixing some songs and began to record their first two titles at Tony Deblock's Midas Studio (home of Hooverphonic and 300+ hardcore bands!)
Rich in various influences and experiences, "JESUSPROJECT is adding the finishing touches to their first solid and powerful effort with the precious help of Godschild Music LTD. After working hard for several years and making several sacrifices, JESUSPROJECT are hard at work again to raise their band out of the darkness and into the light.
